  1. Thanks Laura1 I am looking for a new suit so this is perfect! Do you know if we can combine it with an educators discount there?

  2. blumre: I have been able to combine the discounts...I have a special teacher discount I am going to email you to print out, too. :)

  3. blumre: It's for ATL and says only on full price merchandise, but I have used a similar coupon on sale items, as well.

  5. Ann Taylor Loft is also having a sale...$15 off $75 (code 15OFF75) and $6 shipping for any order.

Does anyone else think the quality of ATL has gone down? I used to shop there more often than at j.crew, but the last few orders I've placed I haven't been happy with the quality of the material. I can't speak for the regular Ann Taylor store since I don't shop there, but ATL has been disappointing me lately.

  6. appgal: I haven't shopped at ATL a lot, so I can't comment as to quality in the past compared to now, but I HAVE purchased several items for great prices recently, and have been really happy with them. :) The quality on the 2 jackets and pair of pants I recently bought is really high.

  7. Does anyone know if I can use my cash cards ($25 off $50) from their last promotion in conjunction with the current 25% off? I may just head in there today and find out ---- but it's next door to my J. Crew which I HAVE to take a credit card break from, so I'm not sure I should tempt myself!!

appgal - I'm not sure I've noted a quality difference yet, but definitely there is not much in the store of any interest! I got a cardi in almost every color - but beyond that, kind of blah.

  8. I was told last week that you cannot combine the $25 cards with the 25% off. They told me I could only use one at a time. Just see which works out to be the better deal. Plus, the $25 cards are good for another few weeks and the 25% might only be good for a few more days (not sure :) Have fun, either way!! I picked up a cute jacket and a nice pair of skinny jeans that aren't too skinny.

  9. FFM and Lindseyb: perhaps it's just been my selections...I got a skirt and a pair of pants in my last order and the material looks and feels really cheap (they were on mega-sale though--maybe that's why). It could also be that at the same time I started shopping less at ATL, I started shopping more at j.crew and my perspective was a little biased :)

also Lindseyb: I've used the $25 off cards in conjunction with a sale before, so maybe they'll honor it this time. Doesn't hurt to ask! Have fun--(and if there's anything worth looking at in stores, let me know...my nearest mall with a j.crew and ATL is hours away, and it's hard to tell online!)

  10. appgal and leslie - thanks! I'll probably make it into the store today and let you know how it goes. There are a couple of cute jackets/ coats online (which I need like I need a hole in my head) that I would like to check out in the store.

I agree, when you compare quality and style of ATL to JC, it's not quite as impressive, but I haven't had any problems yet! I can understand your disappointment in receiving some pants of questionable material - I guess that's something I take for granted since I can just run into the store and check stuff out!

I'll post here later if I go to ATL today!

  11. appgal: I think it's almost the kind of store you really need to shop at in person to see the merchandise before you buy. I also notice that a lot of the items I like are only in the store, or they don't look as good on the web as they actually do IRL. I purchased a blue Madras jacket for $6 the month before last and it is better quality than the J.Crew Madras in the same style...I was really pleasantly surprised!

  12. You are all very welcome, please enjoy!

Re: ATL and AT, I've never purchased anything from ATL because when I've gone into the store I haven't found anything that I've liked. AT has always been one of staple stores for work clothes and I think their pieces generally last, both in design and construction. I also LOVE their sale rack. :)

  13. I purchased from ATL a really cute corduroy jacket, and a few corduroy pants (boot leg & trouser), and the fit is really good. The corduroys are $59, and at the time they had a $20 off all jeans/pants promo in-store, plus I was able to use my $25 rewards cards, so I ended up paying $17 each! They have some really cute colors, too. The quality can be hit/miss depending on the item, but you can get some really great deals. You can't combine % off coupons with the $25 off cards, and you can only use one $25 off card per online order (you can use multiple cards in-store). I do prefer Ann Taylor clothes in terms of style, quality and fit, and they have had some really cute pieces this year! Ann Taylor is also really good with their promotions, usually 25% off dresses, or buy 1 sweater, get the second 50% off, etc.... which you can then use a coupon on top of that!
