Extra 20-30% Off Sale At J.Crew Going On Now :)

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Anon at 12:11 AM and FabulousFloridaMommy (in this post), Kendra and Anon at 4:46 AM (in this post), and Athena (in this post), who let us know that J.Crew has extended the additional 30% off online sale with promo code EXTRA30 until the end of today. I am thrilled to see J.Crew has done this for their customers! {yey!}

"Thanks!" also to gigiofca and Anon at 8:40 AM (in this post), who let us know that many J.Crew B&M (brick & mortar) stores will be offering an additional 20% off sale merchandise. This offer is expected to last until Sunday, 12/7/08. Anon at 8:40 AM also mentions that new arrivals should be on store shelves as well. {yey again!}

Moreover, "thanks!" to Rebecca who shared with us that the Metallic Vita Cami (Item 10181; Regular $98.00) is being offered for $59.99 (with an additional 30% off) at the J.Crew Store on Madison Avenue (in NYC). {fantastic!}

Are you planning to take advantage of the online offer today? Are you planning to also visit J.Crew stores to take advantage of the additional percent off? :)

  1. Just purchased the double serge pencil skirt in blue for $79.99 plus 30% off.

Also, I hope to see a review of the Bouclé tweed short scarf coat from those who ordered it.

    Thanks for the blog, Alexis!

they also added new reductions last night.

  3. to clarify, the above code is for BR :)

  4. This is very cool and hopefully provides them with enough sales to make up for the first day when their site was down. Nice job J.crew!

I really can't buy anything else though so I probably shouldn't even look at the sale section but its calling to me. . .

  5. Another day, and still no apology from JCrew. Is the extending of the code their way of apologizing? Personally, I think they a making a HUGE mistake by not addressing their problems publicly. IMO the JCrew name and reputation could suffer permanent harm if they don't do some damage control and do it quick!

  6. Got out of work early yesterday and headed over to Anthro and JCrew to do some holiday shopping, and use the coupons I got in the mail. I finally bought the Lulu metallic heels for around $70!! They were on sale, so 30% off that price, and I received 1 of those extra 25% reusable coupons in the mail, so more money off! I have the Lulu's in the light brown color, but I also really wanted them in metallic. So glad I held out!

Also got my brother a t-shirt on sale, and bought my Mom a loungy knit hoodie and Lea cardi. All on sale so extra 30%, plus the 25% coupon. I saved loads yesterday (and I am on a super budget this year when I normally spoil people :-P).

P.S. I am currently wearing the new graphic tee "Mr. Smith's Decadent Mints" in the dark grey. My store had a promo on them for $39.50 (reg. $49.50), and then i used my 25% coupon, so a much better price, and considering I hear people really like them so will prolly sell out quickly.

    Happy Shopping, everyone!

  7. Yay!

However in the mean time the Elizabeth Halter in Clover Green is no longer available, the ONE item I was dying to buy.

  8. I've got the Glenbrae suede flat boots in grey, Italian houndstooth Greta jacket (didn't even notice it on jcrew.com until I saw it discussed here this morning and now I want it!), and the Matchstick jean in ultra-dark wash in my cart, but I'm having trouble pulling the trigger when I see the $18.50 shipping charge. Even with the 30% off, if none of those items fit and I have to return them I've bascially paid almost $20 just for the privilege of trying them on. That 30% discount just isn't that great of an incentive to me when I get bitter about the high shipping costs.

  9. OT: I received this reply to my inquiry about the 25% off discount card.

We are delighted to hear that you have received your 25% discount card from Mr. Drexler; and apologize for any confusion regarding the usage limit on the card.

It is our pleasure to inform you that you are able to use the 25%
discount card on as many retail purchases as you would like before the date of December 15, 2008, at which time the card will expire.

We hope that the above information will be helpful.

I'm happy to know the card is multiple use but feel bad for those aficionadas who had their cards taken away.

  10. I'm upset that J.Crew has upped the price of the Jamie bag. The black and sienna are now $395 instead of $300. No wonder the two colors were missing from the website yesterday. They were just hoarding them for a markup.

  11. I was at Stanford Shopping Center Palo Alto yesterday and they had an extra 30% off loads and loads of stuff. They have a big sale section. Lots and lots of merino lea cardigans, those sequin heirloom tees and much more. (Final Sale though) They also had a promotion for cashmere sweaters for $99 (turtlenecks). I used my 25% coupon and got great deals!

  13. is anyone else getting annoyed when they find items listed in the sale section and then click on them only to find out that that item has been sold out or there are no options on the size drop down box. If it's sold out remove from web site already!! stop teasing us! also, stop mailing me coupons for in store purchases only, i don't have any stores close to me! sorry for the rant!

  14. Anony@10:33

You can try what FFM did and call in your order saying that you don't have store nearby and will they offer it to you on an online order. Good luck but on the other hand I am LOL....

  15. Also, I think all (?) their coats are 40% off in stores right now

I bought Carrie yesterday and after 40% off and the 25% coupon, it was about $149

  20. Too funny Anon at 10:56 AM!!! I have vowed to not spend at J.Crew so many times... and every time, J.Crew has something new and wonderful to offer me, getting me to spend more! ;)

Bug Pin: Your comment about Aficionada made me laugh too- because it is so true!!! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anonyous @ 10:56: I'm right there with you. I definitely have a bad case of 'sale fever'. I start buying and then keep going because the prices are good and I like the clothing.

It's time for me to push away from the table. Maybe some shoes or a sweater .... later, not right now. But the prices are looking good. A fellow coworker and I are starting up a self help group so we stop shopping so much. No more enabling and telling each other when the site ahs been updated or a new sale is on.

  22. Anon at 10:56 again...

With the high waist I am not sure what size to order.

  28. P.S. I am not going to order right now...It would be like shooting myself in the head...but I want to know sizing for later...thanks again!

Congrats to all who are holding out for better sales and a better shipping environment--hopefully....

I returned a pair of metallic lulus to my local B&M last night. They were a size 7. I found them to run big.

Store is San Diego, CA; phone number 619-491-0054.

Hopefully that is the right size for one of you!

  31. Marta B. - Wow you got some great deals! That's a good feeling. :-) I saw the new tees and they are so cute. The pink licorice one is very cute in particular.

Anonymous - That is totally annoying about the 25% card. Mine was taken away yesterday. I asked for it back but the SA said he called to clarify and was told that it was one-time use. I should have written to ask about it and taken the email with me in the store if I had gotten the same response. It is really too bad that (as someone said) you need a PhD to decipher their promo rules. Though I think it's more like you need to be psychic. Or maybe Mars needs to be in retrograde. Or maybe "If You Only Knew what we're going to decide about promos when you place your order on the phone or visit the store in person...."

  32. If anyone's interested.. Martin & Osa has an extra 25% off their sale section (the discount comes off when you look at your shopping cart), plus 30% off with code 52216266, plus free shipping & free returns.

    ReplyDelete
  33. To the person who asked about JCrew pencil skirts and how they fit..

I wear a 4 in their pants, and I ordered a pencil skirt... the Prima Stretch Wool Pinstripe pencil skirt, to be exact... in a 4, and it fits perfect. So based on that experience I'd say, get the same as your normal size. This one is pretty high waisted too.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I was wondering if we can "price match" online prices to in store? I saw a cardigan in store the other day but its cheaper online, can I ask them to give me the online price + the 20/30% off?

    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's so weird to look at the 'new arrivals' and know that the 30% sale applies to some of those items! Half of the new arrival section is already marked down.

Did all the stores move their final-sale discount down to 20%?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm new here(LOVE this place though my husband thinks it's strange that there are actually on-line communities for people just like me--J. Crew addicts). Anyway, I just ordered the Teagan ruffle solid herringbone top. I've got the solid Teagan top in black and love it and have just been waiting for the wool one to go on sale. The only thing I'm worried about is if it will be too itchy. I might have to get a tissue tee and wear it they way they've shown it on their site. We'll see.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Em,

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it a lot...I wear an 8 in pants and skirt from them and they are all low waisted. This would be my first high waisted item...

Any more input would be great on the higher waisted pencil skirts.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Glad the 30% off is extended! Of course that enables me more....yikes.

Two things, went to the B&M last night and they said the coupon was one time use! I insisted that the card had implied multiple use ("use this card on any purchase from now until Dec 15th"). SA went to talk to manager, then came back and said "its our understanding that this is a one time coupon". Frustrating!

But, I got the Tailored Wool Rosette Tank Dress, for 79.99 plus 30% plus 25%, wahoo! What an unexpected find--very comfortable, great shape, and cute! I wear an 8 up top and a 10 on bottom though--and somehow I ended up in a Small (?!)...even the small is roomy in the back but I couldn't size down more. I recommend this dress if you can find it at a deal!

    Happy Shopping everyone!

PS anyone have opinion on the Acorn NEcklace?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I am also experiencing a terrible case of J.Crew sale affliction. I promised myself I would not buy anything else. But, I weaken when I see the wonderful sale prices. I think $250 is not bad for two shirts, three cardigans, a necklace, a pair of pants, a skirt, a dress and a bathing suit. Right? Also, in my defense, my housekeeper (I live overseas) just shrunk four of my J.Crew sweaters. Sigh. I felt that this gave me permission to shop, shop, shop.

    ReplyDelete
  40. OT - I did a "we will find it for you" last night and received an email this morning that the item I requested was found and will ship to me within 24-48 hours.

I haven't done a WWFIFY for a couple of years. Is JCrew pretty accurate with the finds lately? Heard so many horror stories about online orders lately, I'm just not sure what to expect.

  42. i checked the sale site and was excited to see some new items and reduced prices! the madeline in purple majestic only came out to $111.99. have people been seeing similar prices in the stores? i didn't want to pass up this deal so i jumped at the chance for the coat. i'd hate to find out it's cheaper in stores...

  47. I have used the "find it" service and I live in Canada. It has worked very well for me, I have always been given free shipping for the item. Several items have even been gift-wrapped, which I have never requested. It may just be because the store doesn't have other ways to pack it up for shipping, but it is nice.

Anon @ 1:20, I'm curious, what did you ask them to find?

  51. bug pin & suilove,

I bought them at the Atrium Mall in Chestnut Hill, MA. There was only 1 pair left in the sale section, but I did see another pair on display in the store. I am a 9 1/2, and I think the display was a 9 1/2, too. The Lulu's do run TTS to large, but I hate pinching shoes, so with extra padding they will fit and be more comfy (which is what I did with my light brown Lulu's). They did have Lulu's in other colors and sizes on sale there, too.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Correction:

I got the last pair of metallic's in the sale section (that I remember seeing).

  53. did anyone see the victoria ruffle camis on promotion?? i just called a store and they said they are on promo but they only have large sizes and i called another one and i was told they were full price and there is no way that they are on sale or on promotion?

also to save those the call, i just called the atrium and was told they were sold out on the lulus for 6s or 6.5s :'( fyi.

  57. Received my TURKEY order, which were the solid Annette blouses and dark mushroom Odile bag, size Large. Blouses are simply amazing, totally love them. Bag - not so great.

    Positives - it is lined!

Negatives - the brass rings looked tarnished before I even took it out of the bag. I thought I really liked the color, but to be honest, it reminds me kind of of an old grandma bag. The brass rings are noisy, and I noticed upon close inspection that in dying the leather, some got on the brass rings, yikes! I guess I'm more of a slouchy hobo girl, the structure of the bag wasn't doing it for me. Just really not for me, even though the price was pretty good. It's going back unfortunately :(

    ReplyDelete
  58. Snow: I wear between a 2 and a 4 as well and I personally felt that it was big. It's not big in the arm holes, but roomy in the torso. I own 2 of the Victoria Camis (in a Petite 6) and the Victoria is slimmer, it's cut closer to the body. But the Elizabeth is cut very full and I prefer the Victoria Cami better because it's a slimmer look. I guess it all depends if you like it blousey or not. I thought about going into the XS but was worried that the armholes would be too short and that I would be uncomfortable. Furthermore, the chest measurement on the XS wouldn't have made it any less blousey. HTH.

I wear an 6-8 in JC tops/10-12 in bottoms and I took the small in the Elizabeth. I am very much a pear shape, with a small chest :( and big hips. The top is very generous, especially in the hips. If you are small or medium chested, I think you would do better with an XS. I hope this helps you!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Does anyone have a first hand opinion of the Corrine cardigan or the Dream Simone Cardigan?

    ReplyDelete
  61. It would be in JC's best interest, especially considering their slow moving inventory, to give customers the card back. Don't they want us to spend more money?! Now they will send customers away angry and spending less. Knowing they will take my card away, I will save my card for the best deals. Dumb, dumb, dumb j.crew.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Crew Girl in Canada & Smarty:
Thanks for the info. Think i'll have to stick to an x-small. i'm very tiny in the chest and not curvey in the hips so i think the shirt will be to big.. :(
Maybe i'll try the "Will you Find it For Me" option..

Crew Girl: Is the colour as bright, rich and beautiful as it was online?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Crew_Girl_in_Canada, what would you be willing to sell the Elizabeth tank for? I may be interested in it... I ordered a M and it was too big, so it went back!

  64. Snow: The color is stunning. I was sooooo excited to get it. I was also certain that it was a keeper and then I tried it on and it was really blousey on me. The Green is truly stunning. I hope you find one in the XS. (BTW, I just checked online and all XS are sold out).

Anon at 3:40: I paid $59.99 so I am asking $59.99 plus shipping. This is so funny, I have it in the box to return it to J Crew. I was going to go to the PO this evening. Please let me know if you're interested.

I thought the Corinne was really cute and cozy-looking, so I tried it in the store when it first came out. I found it to be short and boxy, plus the thickness added a lot of weight to my frame. I'm barely 5'5", so I imagine it would be even shorter on a lot of people. I'm sorry I don't have a more positive review for you!

    ReplyDelete
  70. My local B&M was only 20% off today, but the small print on the website says the 30 applies to stores, too, just not factory stores. I wonder what's up with that?

Oh, yeah, I remember. It's J. Crew. Hee, hee!

OK, I did have to place ONE LAST ORDER for the year. I found some great crewcuts deals which meant I had to pull the trigger on a ton of stuff that had been sitting in my cart like the sherpa lined down vest (I saw it in the B&M in the pinkish and it was too pretty). Then I noticed the orangey color of the ruffle trim cashmere cardi went down, so that's coming home to mamma too. But I promise, the rest of the stuff is for OTHER PEOPLE!!! I SWEAR!!!

I think the smartest thing J Crew did was retain credit card info. I think I hesitated more often when I had to get away from the computer, hunt down my hidden credit card, and input all the info. Now it's just three tiny numbers and presto! New stuff! There's too little between impulse and order now...

    ReplyDelete
  71. anon 4:22 Is that the truth! the credit info makes all the difference for me too, a little too easy to hit the button!

It looks like J Crew has stopped using tissue paper and boxes to ship, just received 2 large brown envelopes instead.

    ReplyDelete
  72. How many people receive B&M 25% off cards? I have not receive it yet... I am upset about J.Crew's random policy as I spend $500-$1000 a month at J.Crew. How J.Crew decide to distribute this card? Could you please take stats?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Just recently found this page and I am just loving it!!! This is the first time I am posting - first of all "Hi" to everyone! Second, I was wondering has anyone tried the Taryn Peacoat? What are your thoughts? I really like the casual cozy style but am unsure if it would be too boxy. Thanks!! Ally

    ReplyDelete
  74. Maybe I'm imagining this - but I think someone posted the other day that their order for a plum peacoat had gotten cancelled, and then the coat was sold out before they had a chance to re-order... Whoever that was, my store has a plum peacoat, size Large (maybe it was a medium?) in stock as of last night. They have a rack that they keep online returns on (items they don't normally carry in the store) and I noticed it hanging there... their number is (248) 449-6690 if that's your size and you still want it!

Also, they had a charcoal berry trim astrid, I believe it was a 10 or 12 - on sale for $179.99, then 30% off (and another 25% if you have the coupon).

    ReplyDelete
  75. Snow: in case you're still not sure, DEFINITELY an XS in the elizabeth. I'm 5'10", 34D, normally wear a 4-6/S in jcrew tops... and in the elizabeth even the XS is roomy... but in a good way!

I bought 2 marcellas today, which came to around $14 each after the 20% off and 15% student discount. Could not resist!

If anyone is looking for them... at the Beachwood, OH store they have the patent Spectator mary jane peeptoes (I think that's what they were called) in size 8. They are gray in color. I have no clue how much they were but I saw them on the table and just had to make sure they weren't my size... fortunately they rarely have 10s in the stores!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anon 4:50 - I asked customer service about the 25% off. First they told me it was for card members. I told them that was not the case and I got the - a new promo will be released soon and hopefully you will be included in that. "They had no specific information on how participants were selected".

    ReplyDelete
  77. Anon 5:22 PM

Thank you for your info. While shop masters always recommend me to make a J.crew card, I am technically "non-US citizen", so can't have a J.crew card. Hopefully, J.crew will offer alternative rewards for customers like me.

  78. Sorry, the previous post was for Kate:) Thanks Kate!

  79. I need to vent because J. Crew feels as if they are doing us a favor with this 30%....no...you're charging us an arm and a leg for shipping!. I ordered several items which all arrived today....some crewcuts some for myself. The solid kelly dress shirts run HUMONGOUS. I am a small and ordered a small at their recommendations. Item description says fitted and size chart says bust measures 34.5-35.5 inches...I measured them and the bust is 38 inches!!! So I call and a rep says oh, well my measurements say a 38 is correct for this particular item...but only the reps can see that info, not the consumers. GO FIGURE! so she says return them...well what about my shipping fees?! "Well I can send you out all xs's this one time and waive shipping but never again." Um you are soo not doing me a favor. Geex. Ok I'm done.

  80. I just received my B&M 25% coupon today. I was certain that I was left out of the promotion, but it finally came!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yes, the phrase "we will do it as a one-time courtesy" really grates on me as well. It just implies that to me that customer service really isn't a priority at JCrew. Given all the on-line problems they really should be bending over backwards for us...as a whole I think we have been pretty patient throught this long ordeal and I feel like we deserve better service.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Anon 4:50: I just got my 25% card in the mail today so maybe yours is coming snail mail as well. I was surprised I got one b/c I can’t even get a catalog sent to my house, even though I think I have requested for one at least 8 times in the last 4 months and I have a JC credit card.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I have the same problem with catalogs, I've requested one on-line, in store and via phone and I still can't get one sent to my house. They can send my JCrew card bill with no problem but I can't seem to get a catalog. What gives?

    ReplyDelete
  84. I found that the only reliable way to get what I ordered on time is choosing the overnight express shipping! I paid for standard shipping and asked them to upgrade it to overnight express for free because of all these inconveniences going on in the past few weeks. So far so good.

  85. Em- I have been trying to score some Marcella blouses on the site this entire week! Did you get them in store or online? I wonder how I missed them! If in stoer, could you please specify which? Thanks so much!

  86. not to start a riot, but i just got a personal call from my b&m today about an event. next tuesday they're doing a holiday party from 6-10pm where shoppers get 25% off in addition to any sale or promo. has anyone else heard about this or been to you? btw, i don't live in nyc, just suburban baltimore maryland.

  87. I got the Marcellas in store, at the Beachwood, OH store. In the last week I've also been to the Crocker Park (Westlake, OH) store, and the Somerset store (Troy, MI). They all had Marcellas.

At the Beachwood store tonight, they had the pumpkin and rhubarb colors. I'm pretty sure all they have left are size 6, maybe one 0. I can't remember exactly. They were $19.99 too.

Last week at Crocker Park they had ivory, rhubarb, and pumpkin colors left.

They actually did show up online this morning for about, oh, 10 minutes, but then were sold out immediately! I hope that helps... some JCrew things can be so elusive!

  88. I want a Marcella too.. *sigh*.. Does anyone have a petite 0 or regular 0 to spare? :)

  89. Can anyone recommend pumps similar to the Juliet heels for those of us with wide feet? : ) I hear they're better for narrow-footed folks. I would love something with the round toe and wood heel..and a bit more padding! I have a feeling this is too much to ask, though : (

  90. Did anyone buy the cashmere Janelle Sweater. I was dreaming out it, and it's sold out!

Could someone review it, just to make me feel worse, lol.

I shoulda bought it during 'Turkey'. Boo Hoo!!

  91. Has anyone seen the Lulu flats in their store? If so, how much were they? I would love to have the gold metallic flats in 6.5, but my store didn't carry them and I know they're cheaper in store than online. TIA

  92. I get the "stay tuned" message when I try to check my order status! NOOOOOO!

  93. kendra: I was just on there, it worked for me but it was very slow. They seem to be working fast, they shipped out my parcel from my order last night, it normally takes 3 days for me.

  94. I was fortunate today to receive my TURKEY order in full and all looks fine. I only ordered 4 items (3 were for DH) and I checked all of them - no holes, loose threads, loose buttons (which is what I usually find).

I am very pleased with my navy Nola. I sized up because I felt that the model on the site wore hers a little snugger than I would like - particularly if layering with a light tee underneath. This is perfect and while the 7-gauge cashmere does not compare to the 12-gauge cashmere, it certainly looks pretty!

  95. Yay! Received everything safe and sound. Love my watercolor crawford blouse! It is going to be my X'mas top! Also love the sanibel crawford blouse. The print is adorable but unfortunately the metallic dots throughout the blouse is extremely scratchy. I would hate to return it but I am not sure if I could stand feeling itchy throughout my entire body :( :( :(!

  96. I was in Pennsylvania yesterday for work and could not resist stopping in the King of Prussia store- WOW- They have everything! A lot of the collection pieces etc... it was really fun to see the $2,200 calf-hair astor jacket in person! They also had a lot of shoes. For those looking for the Metallic lulus- they have them. Not sure of sizes, but worth a call-610 265 0210. They had a snow-leopard blazer- size 6 (one of my favorites) and a sale section like no other-it was bursting at the seams with everything!!!

  97. Just got back from my local J. Crew. They had a ton on sale. Nothing I really needed or loved, but I did get three of those enamel bangles for $10 (total!) in gray, olive green, and mint green. I love their bangles so I was happy to find some more.

  98. Desperately looking for the elizabeth halter in ivory--size XS. Any thoughts on what stores to try calling? My area is sold out, and I don't have the time to go through the list one by one. (Have done it in the past though!)

Also, for those of you with the ivory, is it sheer? Would a nude colored strapless bra show?

    Thanks for any help!

  99. Woops, sorry, forgot to sign my post re: the elizabeth halter.

  100. I was thinking of visiting the Annapolis, MD store this weekend with a friend. Does anyone have any thoughts on the store? It would take me about an hour to get there, so I'd hate for the trip to be a waste. Thanks in advance!

  102. Christina: I'm not sure if I'm the one you're referring to regarding the plum peacoat or if someone else is also experiencing problems. I called CS and told them that although the website said the coat shipped, the UPS site still says "Billing information received" since 11/24. "Luckily" they had more available so they are sending me another one (3 day shipping) at the current price plus 30% off and free shipping. It's scheduled to arrive tomorrow. (Fingers and toes are crossed.) Appreciate you letting me know about the coats at your B&M. I'll hold onto the number, just in case....

    Thanks again!

  103. Forgot to mention that the King of Prussia store had a ton of the Deco Tanks too- I don't remember ever seeing these in my store.

  104. Update on my "We will find it for you" snowflake tee. I got a tracking email from FedEx so they are express shipping it to me here in Canada. The regular warehouse orders arrive via UPS. This is usually how it works when I use the "find it" service, which is maybe twice a year. I'm expecting free shipping as well. ;-)

I also got an email from Dana, the manager at the store shipping my tee, the Grove at Shrewsbury in NJ. She said that my order had been shipped express and wished me a happy holiday season.

So far, a very pleasant experience getting a sold-out item shipped and fast. Now I am just waiting to get the tee....

  105. Anon @ 9:35pm - yes, it was you I was thinking of! I just happened to see the coat in the store, and suddenly remembered that SOMEONE was having trouble getting theirs because of a lost order/package/something-or-other. I hope you finally get it!!

  108. Thanks, Christine! That's why I love this blog. I've spent a ton since I've discovered it but now it's the first thing I check everyday :))

  110. I bought the vita cami at 30% percent off the 59.99 plus 25% with my red card - think it came to $32. Now, that's a deal. Bought it in navy, wish now I'd gotten it in the silver as well :) I've been getting terrific buys with the 30% off plus the additional 25%.

My local store has never had the Elizabeths but I found them at the outlet and the outlet is carrying ivory right now. They had tons when I was there last week. The tops are "outlet made" (meaning not from the retail stores) but I couldn't find any difference. So, if you have an outlet near you, try there. HTH!

  112. snowflake tee - love it, very comfy. Tons of compliments everytime I wear it. Same fit as the other tees. I usually wear mine with an ivory cardigan.

  113. Tina -- I have the bromley boots from last season and find them indispensable when I'm walking my dogs in the Chicago winter. They keep my feet dry even when I walk through giant puddles and are pretty comfy. And perhaps most importantly, I have yet to bite it on the ice while wearing them (but now that I say it, I'm sure it'll happen tomorrow).

  114. i'm sure this has been addressed before, but why can't J Crew have a website like BR or the GAP? i mean, everytime i click on "dresses", there's other random things in that category. also, i will see the item for a certain sale price (ie $49.99), but when i click on the item, it takes me to the item page and the price is different. i understand that sometimes the price is diff when there are other colors, but it's pretty clear on certain items that there aren't any other colors. for example, look at the luxe donegal jacket http://www.jcrew.com/search/searchNavigation.jsp?eneQuery=Ne%3D4294967294%26Ns%3DP_saleprice%257c0%26N%3D20%2B17%2B4294967190%26Nu%3DP_productid&NUM_ITEMS=90&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441791798&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474395181063&bmForm=searchController&bmFormID=1228453293554&bmUID=1228453293554&bmHash=61cc368980d96883a84a75e70ff6684ae0b5dbb7
says it's $49.99, but when i click on it, it says $69.99. so bummed about this purchase b/c paid $89.99 (TURKEY discount) last week and now it's even cheaper...boo.

  115. Math Teacher: I just received my gold lulu flats and I love them, they are soooo pretty. I haven't seen the flats at any store (I've run into and heard of a lot of lulu heels, but not the flats).....anyway, I got them for $109 less the 30% and I'd say it's well worth the price. If you really like them and have your heart set on them, I say go for it, get 'em now and you'll be able to show them off a few times before the holidays are over.....and if you don't, they may be gone forever! I'm actually scouring now for the gunmetal color in a size 7, love to have both! That's how cute they are.

    ReplyDelete
  116. anon, do the lulu flats fit true to size? I sized up 1/2 for the tri-color flats (can't remember the name right now) and they fit great. Other flats from the past, I've got my correct size and they've been fine. TIA And, if I don't spend too much tomorrow at the store, then I may order them, even though the 30% is over now.

  117. kitchy 7 --- Thank You for your comment. I just ordered the bromley boots last night!! The price after discount was about 68$ They are the yellow and gray check pattern ones. I would have rather had the hounds tooth but they were all sold out. I am from Ann arbor, Michigan so a heavy boot of some kind is necessary here as well. I miss Chicago. I am happy you haven't ate the ice yet, lol. I am so clumsy that it wouldn't matter what shoe i was wearing I will still fall at some point. Just hopefully not in front of any cute boys =D

  118. oh yes, I love it when you fall right in front a bunch of people, especially people you'd much rather impress. my first attempt at roller blading my sophomore year in college ended in disaster when I went down a hill too fast and landed on my behind...right in front of the senior dorm. Oops. :)
