J.Crew Email: $10 off women's corduroys. In stores and online.

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Suzy (in this post), as well as HeidiG & Marietta, who shared the following latest email from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering $10 off all Women's corduroy pants. This offer is available for a limited time both online (click here) and in brick & mortar (B&M) stores.

Will you be taking advantage of this offer? If so, which pants are you planning to get. :)

Off-topic: Many JCAs are starting to get the hard copy of J.Crew's latest catalog by mail. Double check inside to see if you received a special one-time coupon. :)

  1. I would definitely recommend calling your visiting your B&M before ordering on-line as in my B&M at least, prices on all the cuts and colors available were around $49.99 or less. Also, if you're looking for the toothpick ankle jean in the black resin, it's down to $49 as well (got it yesterday and love it!).

  2. Another caution, item 17046 Vintage matchstick cords, are a smidge larger than last year's bootcut cords. I layed a pair of 30 regular matchsticks on top of my size 30 regular bootcut cords from last season and this years cords, the matchstick cords, are cut larger in the thigh and waist. Combine that with their tendency to stretch out and you'd probably want to size down or plan on putting them in the dryer. Also, this years fabric is coarser and not thin and velvety like last years cords. Hth someone.

  3. I saw the toothpicks in the warm maple for $29.99 at the Georgetown store last night.

  4. I was in my B&M on Tuesday and the cords were already on sale so the extra $10 might make it worth your while. I agree with Lauren S, call or visit.

  6. I have 2 pairs of this years Matchsticks and I recommend sizing down, they stretch out after wearing them once.

  9. I just found your website this week and love it! Anyhow, I had my first appointment with the JCrew personal shopper yesterday and bought cords. Would they honor this deal and give me back $10 off my purchase yesterday?

  10. Sheri, they definitely should honor it as you're well within the price adjustment time limit. Maybe they can even do it over the phone.

  11. I was in JCrew on Wednesday and they had most of the colors of the bootcut cords marked down to either 29.99 or 39.99 depending on the color...

  12. Lauren, Thanks for the encouragement. So I called and spoke with the personal shopper, as I was digging for my reciept. And it turns out that he had already given me the $10 off the cords yesterday, knowing they were going on sale. I found my receipt as we were talking, and sure enough the $10 off was on there; I didn't notice it yesterday. He did say that in the future, they would gladly honor a price adjustment if needed. Yipee!

  13. I took advantage of this offer last week in store. I bought the matchstick cords in breeze. I loved this color this summer, so I was glad to see it show up again.

I am headed to my b&m tomorrow.

  14. Lauren S.-which store were you at? Mine only had 2 bootcuts on sale. I want dark aubergine and deep dune, but they are still FP 9with the promo)

Valerie-I think those are online only.

Speaking of catalogs, has anyone else notcied that the catalog you get in the mail (thank goodness at least I get them!) is much smaller than the one in the store?

  15. mommydearest, the Seattle University Village store. I'm not sure, though, if they ever had those two colors you want. They had all the matchstick colors, but only some of the bootcut and ankle cords. But it might be worth a quick call. Good luck!

  16. I went to my B&M today and since they didn't have my size I ordered from the Red Phone. Well, the CS said she was going to charge me shipping, since it was a "sale" item. I tried to tell her that promotional prices are not the same as sale prices but she wasn't having it. The PS was going to talk to her to fix it, but I ended up using the INSIDER code and got free shipping on everything anyway.

Beware, you should get free shipping on cords from the Red Phone.

  20. Din Din, are you referring to the fact that there appears to be a chill in the room?

    :)

I'm not going to hate on a nip or two, but, yeah, it's really not something that we're used to seeing in Ann Taylor onlines sales photos.

  21. Actually I meant her teeny tiny waist, which looks like she has no rib cage, or has had ribs removed.

  22. Wow Alexis, I've been traveling for work and come back to find your blog packed with amazing posts! Previews of 2010, interviews with Mickey, it's like dessert for dinner!

On the interview with Mickey, was that old video of their stores? Two of those jackets look very familiar, as in I have the black pinstripe and the heather brown version of the red jacket. I think that may be old footage.

Loving the 2010 preview, will need to study it more tomorrow when I'm not so sleepy!

  23. Wow! Thanks for sharing everyone! I went to the Pentagon store yesterday and their cords were still the regular price $79, minus the $10 of course. Good thing I did't buy yet :/

  24. Everyone: Thanks for sharing! It's good to know that B&M stores are carrying better prices for certain cords. :)

Laura: I have been enjoying those posts too- everyone has such a great comment to share. :)
