J.Crew Email: FREE SHIPPING (it's our treat)

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Marietta & Lauren S. (in this post), who let us know about the latest email J.Crew sent this morning.
J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of: $100+ with promo code LEAVES; and $150+ with promo code CIDER. These offers expire 10/7/09.

"Thanks!" also to Casual-Crew (in this post) who let us know that J.Crew is offering free shipping for Canadian orders of $150+ with promo code CANADA. This offer also expires 10/7/09.

On a related note... J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code DOWNTOWN. This offer expires 10/11/09.

Happy {Fall} shopping!

  1. I got this email but with a different amount/code: it's free shipping on any order $100 or more, and the code is LEAVES. Hope that helps someone who's ordering less than $150!

  3. Once again, I get the high limit code. But I'm not complaining, since I have my free shipping through Sunday with the VIP thing.

  4. For Canadians using code CANADA on any order $150.00 or more will get you fs until Oct. 7 midnight. I guess new arrivals will be after that.

  5. yeah this blog is awesome in the sense that I'd have no idea about these codes otherwise even though I'm a cardholder and have an online account with them, I never get any of these emails with promo codes, although i got a few back in the spring, im wondering if because i use my school email when ordering from the catalog (teacher discount) that they may send them to the school email and my school email possibly filtering jcrew mails as spam, but regardless they used to send them to my private email so i have no idea what gives.

Lastly i dont get how they have multiple free shipping codes simultaneously and always off of orders $150, 175 and so forth...that $100 one is making me hit the site now, and im really crewed out, anything to escape work on a monday morn...

  6. Thanks! Just used it to order the Joley pumps on final sale. FYI I tried them on in-store and found that 7 1/2 fit best although I sometimes wear 8. Thanks again!

  7. Well this completely negates the whole VIP thing, (which is good don't get me wrong), but why did they bother to send it out in the first place?

  8. I got both the $100 min. and $150 min. emails, haha! I wonder what J.Crew is trying to tell me with that?

  9. @Joyce My understanding is that the VIP free shipping has NO minimum purchase amount. Even though it's easy-peasy to rack up a minimum of $100,$150+ in J.Crew's shopping cart, I would definitely prefer the no-minimum deal over these other codes.

  10. Joyce: The VIP is also good until the 11th, the codes expire on the 7th.

  11. Today I received the FS off $150 email. BUT, in my mailbox found the wonderful earrings J.Crew is sending out randomly! Ladies-keep checking your mailboxes!! Who know!
I just did a post on my blog

  12. No earrings for me, but I got the $150 FS email.

A little perturbed that one of the popbacks I bought last week is not coming after all. This was not completely surprising (at least I am getting the one I *really* wanted), but what was strange was that it showed up on the JC site a few days later than I ordered and then again this weekend. What's the deal?

  13. Received the SEPT catalog today with a free ship no minimum coupon in it, unfortunately it expired on 9/6 :( I could probably get them to honor it if I called and made a fuss but I just did two orders last week and really don't need anything else.

Had a really sweet CS rep last week. I called b/c I accidentally ordered a top in the wrong size and wanted to see if I could switch for the right size (which they were unable to do b/c it was already released) so she gave me a free return ship label for it. I thought that was nice of her considering it was my mistake and it was a final sale item. :)

  14. I received both the CIDER and LEAVES emails, too...would love to have gotten the no minimum shipping *surprise* though.

  15. I only got the CIDER ($150 min for FS) e-mail, but I am going to try an experiment starting with the next time I buy something at the B&M. I know they always ask for my e-mail address when I check out but I always say"I'm already on the e-mail list". My plan is to give them my e-mail each time and see if anything changes....as far as what e-mails I get, etc. Can't hurt.

  16. I got BOTH emails: my "old" email that is linked to my JC card got the $150 CIDER code, and the "new" email I just signed up last week (because I had been missing the emails) got the $100 LEAVES code. Aha!

  17. OT, have you heard of the FTC guidelines regarding bloggers? I just heard it over NPR, and wanted to let you know. Apparently FTC sees blogs endorsing products as possible ad fraud when the companies are paying or giving freebies to the blogger. Hence the need for any blogger reviewing products to make clear where their products come from, or disclosing whether or not they are receiving monetary compensation or incentives from the company. Talks of such guidelines came up earlier in the year (around June?)

I know this affiliation issue has come up in this blog (and you have made it clear you are not affiliated with JC at all), but this may explain why JC canceled the JCA meetup. They could've been fined or gotten into trouble with the FTC for doing so, by giving the 20% to bloggers (it's gray area, but they probably wanted to cover their butts). Here's a PC Mag article about the subject.

  18. As usual, I have several items waiting in my cart. I have been eyeing the double-cloth Camino coat for a while. Does anyone here own the coat? Likey or no likey? Thanks!

  19. Diana Draw, you raised some good points. I didn't realize there are guidelines for bloggers & businesses. But it makes sense to have them. Thanks for sharing! :)

  20. Random, B&M update: my PS said the new stuff will be out at the end of the week, but that there isn't going to be that much.

The sale section was full to overflowing at Short Hills. Tons of slub swiriling flower tshirts $30, tons of beaded flower tshirts $20, lots of xs-m rooster tshirts $20, destroyed kakhis, lots of ribbon tops, deco patent belts $25, LOTS of painter ts $10, and more. At Willowbrook they had tons of cafe capris, tie dyed Ts and a 14 (I think) evening primrose dress.

And, I got my swimsuit order today and am so pleased!! The terra paisley is especially nice!

  21. mommydearest,
did you get the free shipping no minimum code? I wanted a sale suit but did not want to pay shipping for one little suit. I would have ordered otherwise but I am on a JCrew ban b/c of their high shipping rates and declining qualitly.

  22. Genny,
I did not get the FS code. :( Can you use the $100 min one on the homepage? I understand your ban...after thinking I was so lucky, I just folded my captain tee and found a huge hole in the shoulder after one wear. Good luck getting the suit!
