20% Off & Free Shipping on Knits & Tees {for women}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including GigiOfCA & Heidi (in this post), as well as Heather & Genny (in this post), who let us know the following promotion.

J.Crew is offering 20% off *and* free shipping on select full-priced Women's knits & tees (click here to shop online). The fine print of the offer includes:
Prices as marked. Offer valid on jcrew.com only. Offer does not apply to previous purchases. Free shipping offer is valid through April 12, 2010, 11:59pm EST on Internet orders shipped via regular shipping (4 to 7 business days). Free shipping applies only to women's tees & knits online orders. Free ground shipping on women's tees & knits is applied automatically at checkout. Offer not valid on phone orders.
Much like the last time (for pants), I am loving that this offer is automatically applied (no need to input a code) and that they are throwing free shipping with this offer. Way to go J.Crew! :)

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, what items are you planning to get. Please share! :)

  3. Nice promo but I'm going to pass. I'm suffering from t-shirt overload. I want to acquire more pretty tops, not tees. At this point I'm looking elsewhere.

  4. Okay, I'm really torn. There are definitely a few tees I could use, but I'm also really in need of a Navy Jackie cardi, and something tells me the next 20% +fs promo will be on sweaters. Ahh...what to do?!

  5. timely for me b/c I need to stock up on a few basics tees. nothing else is calling to me anyway at jcrew, so I probably won't be purchasing anything more 'til fall.

  6. I'm glad to see another promotion so soon, and will probably take advantage of this one. I love that the discount and free shipping are automatically applied, too.

AppGal: What about getting one of the Navy Perfect fit cardigans or do you specifically need a Jackie?

  7. Does anyone have any thoughts on the linen-cotton tees?

  8. I will probably take advantage of this promo to try out some of the new tees. I think it's wonderful that they are again giving free shipping!

  9. I looove these free ship promos. It is such great incentive to spend smaller amounts. I bought a tee this morning, and I suspect I'll probably buy at least one more with this promo...

    Cuz I'm greedy like that! (;

  10. I might bite and pick up some basic pieces for summer time. Nothing outstanding.

  12. I am going to take the opportunity to finally snag the Victoria tissue cami in a few colors. Great promo, I love free ship.

  13. FFM: I had forgotten about the perfect fit cardis, and didn't know there was a navy! Thanks for the reminder...that is a much better deal than the Jackie. I just placed an order! :)

  14. FYI-the perfect fit scoopneck tees are really nice. The weight and the fit plus the great colors. I love the neckline as it has a trim on it that isn't just a hemmed edge. I did want to point out that these have been 2 for $30 though and now with promo, they are actually $20 each. In other words, after the promo they will probably be back to $5 LESS per shirt when buying more than one. BTW, the "honey" yellow is perfect with peony pencil skirt;)

  15. Oh and the v-neck linen blend tees are also nice. I love the texture, fit and v-neck..AND as always..the COLORS! FYI, the colors are not as saturated as they appear (at least on my monitor.) HTH! Fit is TTS for JC tees.

  16. Got a "one time courtesy adjustment" on the classic stripe tee that I ordered yesterday. Strangely, I got the free shipping, but I guess not all the tees had loaded into their system for the discount. A reminder to me that one should wait, if at all possible, during some of these promos...

  17. Totally bit on the offer. Be careful not to have any other merchandise in your "bag" 'cause it will charge shipping.

I got the perfect fit stripe t's, jaspe henley, and the ruffle henley.

  18. Does anyone have any experience they can share on the austin slouchy cardigan? Thanks!!

  19. I probably don't need any more tees, but I love these 20% off plus free shipping promos. I ordered during the pants promo last week. These offers make me so much more likely to place a small order.

  20. Kristin, I just got an order with the Austin Slouchy Cardigan yesterday and I'm in love with it. I ordered my reg size S, and I think it fits perfect, not too loose, and I love the length. I'm going to be buying another one in a different color today :)

  21. Thank you LT! What color did you get? I'm tempted by heather gray but worry it may look too sweatshirt-like. So for me it's either that or the dark gray one (name fails me right now).

  22. any thought on the sunray sequin tee?

  23. FYI The Victoria Tissue cami was actually in the sale section at my B&M a few weeks ago for $24.99. I grabbed it in gray.

  24. MMM, I am posting this here too, just in case you don't go back to the original post: I bought the jaipur linen skirt and the style number is 27444, color LBE, WA7780. Good luck!

  25. Perfect! I'm in need of lightweight cardigans that can be machine washed, so I'll likely bite on a perfect cardigan. I'm loving that cropped ruffle cardigan and the Austin slouchy cardigan - does anyone have either? Can you give me any insight? Thanks!

  26. Does anyone know anything about the Austin Slouchy Cardi? Looks cute and the price is right. Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks

  27. Sorry just saw someone say the Austin was good -
    I am in between M and L - suggestions?
    Thanks

  28. I ordered two sizes in the Austin cardigan and ended up keeping the smaller one--the larger one was too wide in the body for me. My advice would be to size down (or, if returning isn't a problem, order two sizes and try them both out).

  29. Kristin, I got the heather gray, and personally I really like it (I already had a cardi similar to the darker grey color.) IMO I don't think it looks sweatshirt-y, but it is heathered, so not an all over color like the melon would be. HTH!

  30. of course i just picked up a few tees over the weekend. oh well, i needed them and have already worn one--not worth the hassle to re-order and return.

currently hemming and hawing over the Perfect-fit Stripe open crewneck tee--anyone tried this? until i've tried, i never know whether to go for a small or a medium in t-shirts.

  31. Kristen, Michelle Q and Rachel, I adore the Austin cardigan. I picked it up several weeks ago when I had a 20% off code. I got the darker grey. I bought my normal cardigan size. It is not baggy at all, I really like the fit. You could size up if you want a bit more of a casual or slouchy look. I think the gathering detail along the v-neck and on the pockets is really pretty. The fabric is very soft. Highly recommend.

  32. allie, you should be able to get a price adjustment on the tees you purchased on the weekend since it is within 7 days.

  33. xoxo, i hadn't even thought of that! i will try e-mailing CS. you are the best!

  34. allie, regarding the price adjustment, I have to give credit to casual-crew, who reminded me of the price adjustment policy during the 20% off sweaters promo last month. J.Crew promptly responded to my email inquiry with notice of an adjustment on sweaters I had recently purchased and they were very nice about it too.

Love the way we are so helpful to each other and thanks to Alexis for hosting such a wonderful blog. :)

  35. I took part in this promo. Received a 20% online only (yeah for code but wish it had included B&M too) and didn't think I would be able to use it. Picked up a tissue Victoria and perfect cascade tee. With the extra promo I could apply along with free shipping was a good deal.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Argh. It is so annoying/lame that anything BUT the tees in your cart at checkout will cancel free shipping. Why??? It makes no sense.

    ReplyDelete
  37. xoxo: I too am thankful for the JCAs willingness to help! :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. I got the jaspe sweatshirt too--I tried to use a promo code from the catalogue I received yesterday but it had expired March 14... I guess they sent me an old one again.

    ReplyDelete
  39. xoxo, thanks to the both of you then! :) i got my price adjustment this morning.
