J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Christy (in this post), LilyBart (in this post), as well as Marietta, who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website today (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} Even the J.Crew Collection (click here) displays the new arrivals for Summer.

J.Crew has also provided the latest catalog online (click here to view). It is another destination location of Turks & Caicos with the tag line of "a day in paradise". Gorgeous! :) Also available is is the Men's only catalog for May 2010. :) As for the new arrivals...

Loves it! I love love love the Dizzy Floral Perfect Shirt (Item 26239; $78.00)! The floral design reminds me of my Hello Kitty stickers that I still own (& use!) The Featherweight Cotton Ruffle Cardigan (Item 26603; $79.50) is lovely. It has just the right amount of ruffles along the front and comes in the most delicious shades. I am also drooling over the Piped-and-Twisted Pocket Cardigan (Item 26139; $88.00). It comes in classic shades that make you want to go back to college. :) I also love that the Ladies' Companion Totes (Item 24934; $10.00) are now available online. So cute!!!

Can't decide yet. I don't know about the Cozumel Tunic (Item 26153; $78.00). The Pale Lilac looks "meh" on the model, however the Saltwater Grey & Champagne versions look quite nice. The Sea Urchin Ring (Item 28023; $50.00) doesn't look that great online, but it could in-person. I don't know why, but it reminds me of Ursula in the Little Mermaid.

Oh my! Did you catch the La Sequin Crochet Dress (Item 27120; $1,400.00)? I really dislike this dress. Unless you have a perfect body (like the model shown), every bump will show up ...with sequins to point it out too! Who needs that kind of pressure? ;)

Hmm. The Liberty print for the Plume-Print Plunge Tank (Item 27132; $125.00) reminds me a lot of the Liberty for Target bathing suit (click here) & tiered dress (click here).

Hates it! The Ruffled Zip Shell (Item 26013; $128.00) could have been nice, but this version just looks weird. The Tissue Flutter Tank (Item 26315; $35.00) looks messy on the one side. I honestly think it's one of those pieces that is a bit too difficult to wear. All I can say about the Denim Vest (Item 27362; $88.00) is no, no, no!
What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out today? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. I love the Cayla Ruffled Shell in golden beach. Bring back more of this warm yellowy-gold please, J.Crew!!

  2. Crushing on the Bridgeford lace-up heels, but tottering not so practical, will probably end up with some more basic summer purchases, like shorts. Even though all the pale hues in the main shoot wouldn't work for already washed out me, delighted to see they shot in T&C, the shoot story and the interesting colour combos in the women's section flash. That's how JC gets me with the offbeat hue combos.

  3. The item I was really interested in is the Painted silk Bridget dress, but have nowhere to wear it. :-/

I did pick up the girls' dachshund tee though!

  4. The Tie dye perfect shirt in pink is in my cart, but otherwise nothing else that is a must have. Picked up some pop backs this morning in the sale section-lots of crewcuts goodies:)

  5. Well. The jeweled jardin jacket was in the February issue of Bazaar, which appears in January. Immediately called JCrew. Noone knew anything about it. Called the collection store on Madison. They were taking a list and would notify me when it arrived. Not possible to preorder. Called PS, who tracked it down and placed preorder. Got worried last week, so emailed PS and verified that preorder was still valid. imagine my surprise to open my email this a.m. and learn that jacket is sold out. NOT HAPPY. Oh, and the spring catalog is still not here, and have still heard NOTHING from the ladies on Madison.

  6. I am actually very disappointed with this rollout. I am still looking for some summer skirts and J Crew has really let me down.

Now not only are the fuller skirts too short, but the pretty new pencils are "a slightly shorter 21 inch length." Sorry, but that isn't going to work out so well in my office.

I'll be saving plenty of money for the various fall rollouts...

  7. Just ordered the Cozumel Tunic in grey (and a bunch of pants and the cyprus metallic gladiator heels, now on sale). Will let you all know about it!

  8. This is so crazy, did they have like two in stock? The Jericho Hobo is already sold out?

  9. I'm still reviewing all the new arrivals-- but wanted to ask if it's just me, or do a lot of the models have a weird stink-face going on? I noticed one in particular- wearing the Waterfall Sequin Shell- that made me spit my coffee laughing. Then there were more . . . is this a new type of "Blue Steel"?

  10. Rickie - I am way upset about the jeweled jardin jacket as well. I WANTEd that baby. Did everything to pre-order with no luck. Waited until midnight for the update (which did not come). Went to bed. Got up at 5:30 to order. The size 10 was already gone. All other sizes were available at that point though. Now there are only two sizes left. I understand scarcity as a marketing ploy, but day 1 at 5:30 am gone. SOOOOOOO frustrating. Oh well, I guess it just was not meant to be.

  11. I have the surf tweed charter skirt, it's really cute on but like another poster mentioned, the skirts are a bit short so I had to size up to be able to wear it to work.

Love the jeweled jardin jacket but for that price it's just not practical enough.

  12. Kitsmommy, I agree. No skirt lengths for me. I do like the impressionist cami, and the v neck cotton cardis.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Alexis - the Dizzy Floral Perfect Shirt looks like a redoux of the Pastel Petals Perfect Shirt in hyacinth, which is now $49.99 on sale in (most) every size.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Loving the impressionist cami. I was told new arrivals will be at stores on Monday so I'm going in to try it on. The Lenox store in Atlanta had many of the new arrivals on the floor already as of yesterday (which is where I was instead of watching Jenna on Oprah!)

Tried on the bling button summer cardi; yummy colors & very flattering. Would have bought it on the spot but concerned that the thin knit would pill & wear out in no time.

  15. OT: Can anyone recommend a comfy pair of ballet flats that I can comfortably wear all day with lots of walking? Looking for $50 & under (any brand, not just J.Crew). Thanks!

  16. I am thrilled that they brought back the eyelet pencil skirt. I have been searching for the white one since last year. I think it is a little funny that my most exciting moment was finding something that isn't even new!! The Cozumel top is lovely, especially in grey. Unfortunately, sleeves that style are not flattering on me. Rebecca, please let us know what you think of the fit.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Kitsmommy and Desert Flower - Agreed about the skirt lengths. At 5'9", if I wore one of this season's skirts out, the general public would know whether or not I wax.

    ReplyDelete
  18. They only thing I'm dying for is the Liberty cardigan. I like the linen-silk cargo pant too. BTW my B&M had the Bridget dress at $69.99 in both colors.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I was so excited for this rollout, and now am so disappointed! Neither of the items I was really excited about - the ikat dot blazer and the cotton victoria style shirt with sleeves - are online! And everything else is just a big ole MEH. I'm sure I'll find stuff later as I inevitably seem to do, but as of right now, I'll just keep waiting for the early spring items to go on sale because none of the new things are grabbing me.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I just placed an order but not a single thing was from the new roll-out. Oh wait--I'm lying...I did get the vintage cotton v-neck tee in orchid shadow (omg that color is gorgeous!) I also decided to try the double-v dress in berry and the Mackenzie blazer. My eyes lit up when I saw the new ruffled jersey dress, but it looks like the v-neck will be waaaay low. I'm hoping the b&m I'm visiting soon will have some in stock to try.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Raina, I am LOL! That was a very funny way to describe it.

No skirts in this rollout but I have 2 of the v-neck cardis in my cart (will pick up more colors when it goes on sale), the impressionist cami, the boatneck tee in vintage orange, and I may pick up the silk/linen ruffle cardi on sale. I have had gift cards burning a whole in my pocket, and there is a free ship code so this whole order will be gratis.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Disappointed by the rollout, and would not pay full price for anything. Waiting for a few pieces to go on sale, like Fiore cotton cardigan. And there was a bag and a pair of shoes I was interested in from the Collection preview. Luckily I'm really short, 5ft, so no problems with skirt length.

And can anyone tell me what the Luxe Terry feels like? No nearby B&M. Throwing common sense to the wind, and thinking about ordering some bloomer shorts. But only if the fabric is nice.

  24. I ordered the Bling cardigan in Sea Mist, and that was it. Loving the Orchid Shadow color but I do not need anything else, and I refuse to buy anymore JC tees, the quality is just not there (see product review below).

I received the Morning Glory Art tee from the knit promo and it is thinner than the slub cotton from previous seasons. The sequins are made from plastic, it makes the tee look cheap, this top is not worth fp imo. The yellow glow color is very similar to the citrus lime from a couple of years ago.

  25. Kay,
I love Me Too flats -- cushiony sole, lots of colors & soft leather. They're about $90 full price but I bought a pair of Me Too (pewter Legend) at Shoe Gallery last month for about $50. Check online, they're carried at many retailers including Nordstrom, Zappos & DSW and are frequently marked down.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Wow, how can it be that the darling Grand Ruffle shell is 14.99???? I like it better than the new stuff! But alas, I bought mine for full price ......

    ReplyDelete
  27. I went into the B&M to make a few returns last night and was given the new catalog. After looking through it I didn't see any *must haves*, and now that I see everything online today I still don't see anything I'm overly excited about. The Frankie mini-dress was already in the store as was the Linen Military Blazer and Dip-Dyed Canvas Tote. I do like the Raffia Bow Clutch, but don't know how well a bag made out of *paper straw* will hold up, since it would be my first. I really like the Jericho Tote, too (even though it isn't new). The new arrivals hit the stores on Monday, so I'll probably go back to see some things in person instead of ordering online this time.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The ruched V-neck jersey dress is on my must-try list, so far it's the only thing I'm really excited to wear. The Hockney tote and satchel look yum, I love the straps on the satchel... too bad I'm on a look, don't touch diet as far as bags go.

I hate to say, I'm really gagging on the shoe front. Grommet Mcalister, Bridgeford, Averill, Agnyess hells (a typo but it stays) are all just bleck. The too-covered up sandal craze looks so crazed and stumpifying on most legs, I really don't get it.

Dea, good call on the "blue steel!" Maybe some of the girls are hoping for a cameo in the Zoolander sequel.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I am shocked. Looked through everything and added nothing to my cart. Not a single thing. How can this be?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I like the Cozumel Tunic, (though not quite a tunic at all). Strangely curious about the Siesta dress and Cotton Shore dress. I think I like the gladiator sandals, I have been looking for a black all purpose sandal for awhile now.

    ReplyDelete
  31. There was a brief moment where I thought I loved the new linen pencil skirt. But then I remembered how badly linen wrinkles, and also how much it tends to stretch, and figured this skirt would be a hot mess by 11:00am of the first wearing.

I do love the Cozumel tunic, hopefully it'll be in-store when I hit the B&M next week.

  32. Did you see that the J.Crew canvas overnight bag http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/bags/fabricbags/PRDOVR~23302/23302.jsp was featured in Daily Candy's travel email today? http://www.dailycandy.com/all-cities/article/82347/More-Stow-for-Your-Dough

  33. I agree re: the shorter skirt lengths. I'm 5'9" and want to convey a professional image at work, even if those around me today are wearing beach shirts and flip-flops!

I wish they had more a-line, knee length skirts. I like the eyelet pencil skirt but would love to see it in a knee-length, fuller a-line.

I have some returns to do at the store Saturday morning, hopefully my tiny local store will have some of the new items!

    ReplyDelete
  34. If I order any new items and use a free shipping code, does that mean I can't also request my educator's discount? Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  35. i'm definitely getting the cashmere tie pocket cardigan. i love the cashmere silk-layered pullover too, but deciding between that an a couple different less expensive things.

was excited about the cozumel tunic but i can tell from the online picture that the short length will be a fail on me.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Only items I am interested in are:

Eyelet pencil skirt in white (I have the navy from last summer, so the dark charcoal is just too close in color)
Cayla ruffled shell in golden beach
Featherweight cotton bling-button cardigan in various colors - I have a few from last summer, they are perfect!

I'm sure I'll pick up some other pieces when they go on sale, nothing I really must have right now. More $$$$ to spend on fall/winter lovelies, which I think JC does better than spring/summer.

Sun in Seattle - the eyelet pencil skirt is slightly different from last years version, the eyelets are much smaller and different in shape. Still lovely, though!

    ReplyDelete
  37. As with many here, I didn't see anything I had to have immediately. I'm tired of the pastels and droopy ruffles. But there's a pretty new bright amethyst in the perfect tees . . . will probably pull the trigger on a multiple tee order at the 2 for $30 price.

I also like the dip-dyed tote. Until the purse stars align I've given up on my search for a perfect yet affordable spring-toned large bag (why, why did I pass on the salmon Marche at 30% off sale???), and maybe I'll just go with a fun fabric tote for the short term.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm curious about the lightweight cotton tunic top (item 26559) and the softspun cotton cardi. Unfortunately both show as catalog/web only. I'd love to see in a store.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I was hoping they'd throw in some quirk, fun things, but aside from the jeweled jacket, I don't see anything very exciting.

I wish they'd cut back on the embellished t-shirts.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Not much too buy full price... The featherweight sweaters aren't worth full price, they do not hold up as well as the merino.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I like the Impressionist cami but I wonder how it will look on my skin tone. The Cozumel tunic looks cute and I'm crushing on the Liberty floral and the piped-and twisted pocket cardigan. I agree about the short skirt lengths and I may have to size up to sit lower on my waist.

I can't believe how fast that Jericho hobo soldout. Did they only make a handful?

Besides that JCrew shoes are getting to be too expensive and I'm on the look out for similar ones elsewhere for cheaper.

O/T: If anyone has the Eyelet pencil skirt from last year in Shadow color in sz 2 and would like to trade for a sz 0 please let me know.

  42. Kay,

The only balley flats I wear are Uggs. They look like dainty suede flats but feel like comfy slippers. I think the pair I have (2 of) was called the antoinette (?)and the first pair I bought was around $100 - WORTH THE MONEY. But then I found a second pair on sale for right around $40. If you're interested, search online for a good deal.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sorry, I meant ballet, bot balley.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I can't believe no one has mentioned that the Liberty Floral Daze Cardigan has the same print as the "sixty" printed stuff from the Target liberty of london line. A $110 sweater that looks like it came from Target? No thanks. I also think the "mixed media" thing is weird... and with J.Crew's poor quality lately, probably is not executed very well.

The sixty print is my fav from the Target LoL collection. Super cute. But I only purchased it in housewares.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I also hate all of the new super chunky sandals. They look like what you'd buy at Bakers, or Aldo, not J.Crew... trendy, not classic. Boo.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm completely in love with the Hockney Satchel in orchid shadow. I just emailed my PS to send it to me ASAP! Wahoo!

  48. ok..my comment truncated.

    Rickie --
I saw the jeweled jardin jacket around 2:00am on the website from size 0 to 8 and when I woke up this morning they were all gone.I'm hoping it will pop back as its still full priced. But i'm surprised there were no sizes above 8.

  49. kay--
I like Banana republic flats and there is an extra25% off promotion right now.
Also is comfy too..and you can find lots of flats under $50

    ReplyDelete
  50. I like the-
Impressionist skirt, though not the length
Chiffon stripe tier tank, though not for the price
The piped and twisted cardigan is in my shopping bag and might be headed my way...
    The featherweight cotton lynx cardigan
Of course, the jeweled jardin jacket (have loved it, like many, since I saw it in Harper's Bazaar)

I loved the description for the Drop Cloth Art Tee, where they say they wanted it too look like the splats of paint, glitter, and beads that might fall from a canvas - basically admitting the motive behind all their tees?

  51. Just noticed that they now have California baby sunscreen for sale in the crewcuts section?? Not sure why I would purchase on jcrew.com vs Target or drugstore.com for much less? I also noticed that they are now selling Saltwater sandals in the kids section- I am a HUGE fan of these and my daughter loves them. They come in super fun colors. They are only selling them in 3 colors on the site, but they are available elsewhere in many other colors, with a cuter leather footbed (not the cheaper rubber sole offered on jcrew.com) Just a heads up for the other JCA moms that have not tried these sandals yet.

  52. Still have not received a catalog, booo. :-/

  55. Anyone tried the Honey Clover Prairie dress (item #22351) yet? I noticed it popped back up in the sale section today after disappearing from the website a while back. I'm wondering if it is as cute as it looks IRL!

    ReplyDelete
  56. AppGal: I tried the Honeyclover dress back when they had the dress promo. It seemed true to size in general, but the waist hit too high on me (I am 5'9) and it just wasn't flattering. Cute print, just didn't work out. Hope that helps!

  58. Twiga, ITA about the Saltwater sandals. I discovered them last summer for my then 2-year-old. This year, she has them in three colors/styles. They hold up so well to her wildness, are wipe and go, and look amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I put several new items in my cart, although I might change my mind after seeing them IRL. Some of the items are new to online but have been in the stores for a couple of weeks (featherweight ruffle cardi - LOVE - and ginny dress). I like the impressionist cami, ruched v-neck dress (although I don't like that it will require a cami), cayla ruffled shell in white (I need a new white top), cozumel tunic in grey - LOVE - skimmer pant in orchid shadoe (I love these pants), and some featherweight bling-button cardis. I have 3 of these from last year and mine have held up just fine. This year's buttons much easier - yay! I will be headed down next weekend to see new, although I'll probably call my ps and have him pull some things for me.

  60. Hi

Update: I called J Crew re: Jericho collection. The Hobo is in production with an expected ship date later in the month. You can call and pre-order ($238, same colours as the tote. Hope this helps someone.

Maybe it's the same for some of the other items? Might be worth a call.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Alexis, I agree with all your likes and hates except one. I really like the denim vest. I have a JCrew one from a few years ago that I still love and wear as well as a white one from another company. The denim jacket is big again so why not the vest?

    ReplyDelete
  62. kitsmommy,
Have you tried Boden for skirts. I love their skirts. I got two this week from a preorder and there are 3 more I want to order still. Great lenghts and they also have Talls:)

  64. Em,
I agree with you on the Liberty Sweater having the same print as Target! I bought the dress in that print and love it but like you menitoned the JCrew sweater looks like it came from Target now and since Target mass produced the stuff there is a lot more of it floating around!!! Too bad JCrew could not get it's own print. I also wonder two about the JCrew sweater being mixed media-esp. as their cotton sweaters tend to be paper thin. Hmmmm....

    ReplyDelete
  65. Genny, Yeah, I also wish J.Crew had different prints. I can't get enough of the Liberty prints, they are so cute!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Kay, I recently purchased Banana Republic's ballet flats and Jessica Simpson Leve ballet flats (from Zappos). Not sure yet which ones to keep; both are really nice (and cheap).
P.S. I like the tye-dye perfect shirt and the liberty cardigan.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I got up early this morning to check out the new arrivals before heading off to work but only had time for a quick glance so I wasn't able to see much in detail until now.

Would love the Hockey satchel if the hw were silver. The gold just doesn't look right to me.

Got a little excited about the Camden suede brogues in plaster but I already have really nice loafers that are the same color so I'll just keep dreaming of the pink version.

Palermo paisley and jersey Lomellina bikinis are in my cart. I can never get enough J.Crew bikinis and my husband never complains when I buy more.

The Frankie mini-dress and v-neck Lundi dress are really cute and I may have to buy them. Would love to hear some comments on these if anyone has seen them IRL.

    ReplyDelete
  68. OT but can anyone help me in cashmere sizing? I wear a 0 in everything J.Crew (5'4, 110 lbs, 34-25-35) but a S in the Jackie cardigans. XS or S? TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  69. OT: Got the new ladies LLBean catalog in the mail and about had a heart attack. So many items like JCrew used to carry. Madras plaid blazer, skirt, shorts, ball cap, tote bags, etc. The Vacationland jacket (solid color) looks really cute as well. Just wanted to let anyone know that used to like the old JCrew:) and/or missed out on this items from the past.

  70. Am holding out for the Demetra Heels in June (p. 78). I was not completely wowed, but loved the fresh colors. Jenna's Picks are beautifully laid out as well and have my eye on the linen silk pocket cardi. I also liked the fortuna Collection ballet flats, very pretty. I also think I am going to hold out for the Wave bodice dress in bright lilac. If anyone purchases this, would be interested in hearing how it fits. Did anyone think the skimmer pant on p. 67 looked a bit matronly in orchid shadow? If not paired with the sequin tank and Gabby purse would have thought they were way off with styling. Overall, very fresh and ready for the change in wardrobe.

    ReplyDelete
  71. For those of you that were disappointed in the 21 inch skirts and have a J.Crew credit card, remember alterations are free (which includes adjusting the hem) :)

I've done this on SEVERAL occasions (silk indigo skirt from late last summer, the terra paisley dress, etc). That is what I'm hoping to do with the Impressionist skirt as well -- just crossing my fingers there is enough fabric in the hem to lengthen it.

Just note that you can't return it once it has been altered!

    ReplyDelete
  72. My closet is overflowing so I can't get too excited about new clothes right now. :P

    ReplyDelete
  73. Whats up with the catalogue?
Since when is wearing mens boxers under shorts a look? (p. 16)
Also, if you ever wanted to know how unflattering a J. Crew swimsuit could look on a 115lb model, check out p. 22.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Chris, if you type in demetra heel you can order them now--they are available. I would hurry as many of the things I was interested in when I got up early were sold out already. I was wondering if it was an electoral-college type issue as I am west coast but they assured me the cute sequin collection blazer was gone before they posted it. I told them they are not garnering and friends by doing that but I am still a fan.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Not to be a downer, but NOT a fan of this roll out *or* catalog-- I think it's actually my least favorite so far!! Am sick of the neutrals, bright lipstick, tomboy styling, and washed out, unhappy models. I understand this is Jenna's "look," but I think JCrew could use a change after a year of neutrals and the same styling.. There is actually nothing I am tempted to buy.

    ReplyDelete
  76. So far, my favorite roll-out in recent memory!
I'm lusting after the Cozumel tunic in champagne, the sequin-stripe henley tank in quarry, the piped and twisted pocket cardigan in navy, the paisley poem blazer, the pebble seraphina dress, the oxford shorts, and the cleo basket-weave wedges.
Of course, then reality kicks in and I remember what my paycheck looks like! So, I may end up getting the shorts and the cardigan, because those are what I'll be able to get the most wear out of, and the others I'll just dream about!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Genny,

Thanks for the thought, but I am not Boden's biggest fan for skirts. I find they are really boxy and dowdy on me. I like some of their other items, but really wish they used fewer primary colors and patterns as their quality is nice.

AT and BR are my go to stores for skirts generally, but most skirts in most stores are too short right now. And I am only 5'4," so I certainly shouldn't be needing a tall. I just want something that hovers from the top to just at the bottom of my knee.

I am starting to wonder if a few slight alines in neutral colors or subdued patterns that are somewhere around 23 inches too much to ask for?

Talbots may be a bit boxy for me, but I may be picking up one of their eyelet skirts shortly.

I adore the two superfine cotton skirts I purchased last month. They do wrinkle more than I expected them to, but I love the fit and shape and would recommend them. They are only about 22.5, but sit sit a little below my waist and hit around the top of my knee.

  78. kitsmommy, I find I often need to size down in Talbots clothes to get a good fit. If you're small, though, it's probably not an option.

  79. Thanks Jeanne. I can often size down in skirts from Talbots or go with a petite. I have a couple of petite pencil skirts from there that are still 23" and fit perfectly.

I wish their dresses came in 2s and their sweaters in xs. They have a dress and a sweater I would love to have right now, but the 4 and S are too big and they petites do not fit right.

I can't understand why their sizing in most items leave out smaller, regular height women.

  80. kitsmommy,
Sorry to hear Boden's skirts don't work for you. I love the bright colors they put out--perfect for me but I know not to everyone's taste. I found the skirts that I ordered this year to have a better fit than the past two years. I think Boden really listens to their customers. I also like the measurements are give for each item so you can tell how each skirt fits differently.

  81. kitsmommy: It is possible that Talbots will be adjusting their sizes for fall and even offering size 0 and XS. I had a post on my blog featuring Talbots last Sunday with some pics of their Fall Preview. Click Here

  82. Thanks FFM. I posted on another blog about the Talbots fall lookbook as some of the outfits are amazing. The jackets usually come in size 2s anyway, so I was already planning to buy a couple, including that caramel leather one. I really do hope they adjust their dresses and sweaters accordingly.

I had heard that they were planning on adding to their size range. I have been complaining to them periodically for a couple of years on this subject, so I am glad that they seem to be listening.

    They have some beautiful clothing.

  83. Molly, like you I am a 0 who wears S in Jackie and I buy XS in cashmere. Hope it helps!

Disappointing rollout IMO. Nothing that I have to have and everything is overpriced. The only thing that caught my eye is the cute bow raffia clutch that I will probably order as a ride-along at some point.

  84. Has anyone noticed that if something isn't "borrowed from the boys", it is made of fabric from a famous Italian mill that works with couture houses. They need a new copywriter.

  85. SC,
Yes, the same old same old is getting tiresome!

  86. Hi all... longertime lurker but first post. OT here but hoping someone here would be willing to help! I'm in Canada so I can't easily get to a B&M to check colours. Can anyone tell me if the mint julep colour (in a cotton cardigan) is real bright minty green? On the website it looks like it's more of a pale-ish turquoise/aqua, or at least a little duller than a pure sugary green. I am relatively new to J Crew and not familiar with all the colours. I've seen the ethereal in Misty Aqua and am hoping the Mint Julep is a similar colour. Thanks!

  87. Ginny Dress is $128 in store, as opposed to the $148 online.

  88. Mia, the mint julip is definitely has a little blue in it - but just a little. It's a beautiful shade of green.

Emily, if the ginny dress is $128, then they've marked it down since it came out. I tried it on when it was new in stores (about 3 weeks ago) and it was $148 then.

  89. Regarding the Overnight Bag, doesn't 9"H x 16 1/2"W x 9"D seem a little small? Am I just not picturing this correctly? I wish there was a photo with a model.

  90. Jennette - I used the overnight bag for an overnight trip this past weekend. It's the perfect size if you're not an overpacker, or if it's a true overnight. You can see a picture of it here.

I think the picture is deceiving though (especially with those huge flowers).
