Have a Happy Memorial Day {& free shipping on $150+}

Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

First and foremost, I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day today! :)

Also, "thanks!" to many of you, including Mia (in this post), who let us know that J.Crew is offering free shipping on $150+ with promo code SHIP150. This offer expires today, 5/31/10.

Like many of you have mentioned, I am a bit surprised to not see a bigger promotion for the weekend (like J.Crew Factory's percent off sale). Ah well! ;)

  1. Happy Memorial Day!

I too am surprised JC is not having a promo (FS does not count as a real one!). I guess this is a way for Mickey to be "different" from other retailers. I have a cart full of stuff I will only get if there's a promo.

I'm hoping to find some goodies from JCA exchange. :-)

  3. $150 is still too steep for FS for me. I have been lured away this weekend by other retailers w much more valuable promos!

Lands End has 50% off swim and free shipping on any order NO MINIMUM, use code JUNE1 and pin 2695.

A couple JCAs have mentioned the floral jackets at the crewlets. I got one last week at Pleasant Prairie for $27.99 after 30% off plus 20% off. They are adorable, very much like Poppy or current Poem w/gathering at the waist in the back, fully lined w/piping. Better-than-average quality for the typical crewlet knock-off styles IMO, i am often very disappointed by those.

  4. I apologize if this was posted already. My PS said there will be new arrivals online Thursday, June 3.

Just when I thought I was all shopped out. (*_*)

  5. I can't bring myself to bite. I bought three sweaters on Friday and paid for the shipping but now I see that the sizes are gone... so I'm glad I just coughed up the $15 for shipping.

  6. Oh XOXO, I wish you hadn't told me that. Maybe it will all be things I don't like. Ha! Unlikely at best. Well, I did just pay the credit card bill :)

  7. Desert Flower, I know what you mean. Just when you think you've escaped, there are new arrivals to pull you back in. I've been spending less at J.Crew lately, at least once returns are factored in. Still, there are usually a couple of must-haves from each rollout.

OT - I ordered the pastiche perfect shirt in two sizes to compare fit and they arrived today (it's not a holiday in Canada). It was really bizarre. The larger size was pristine - folded neatly with tissue between folds, placed properly in the plastic, tags still on. The smaller size was wrapped up in a ball like they used to ship some items, no tissue, no tags and wrinkled up like a sharpei. The colors were much more vibrant on the smaller size and despire the appearance it seems to be clean and unworn. As luck would have it the smaller size fit so I am steaming the bejezus out of it now. Of course, to return the larger size I folded it up nicely with the tissue paper and placed properly in the plastic. Would not want someone else to get the messy-looking shirt like I did.

  8. Went to the Copley Place B&M today. No % off, but I did get handed a free bottle of water. It's not exactly the perk I was looking for, but at least it's something!

  9. xoxo,
I had two identical scarves I ordered come that way. Both the same style and color. One nice and flat with tissue. The other rolled in a ball.

  11. No JC shopping this weekend, but I bought three pairs of Gap shorts and two pairs of cropped pants (30% off the entire store on Memorial Day).

Then I went to BR with my BF and he bought two pairs of men's sale pants with an extra 25% off promotion. The pants were a great deal, so I also bought two pairs as a gift for my DS.

  12. I went to the B&M yesterday and was surprised there was no promotion like at most other stores. I definitely held back on buying knowing that stores like Ann Taylor had 40% off sale. I did pick up a pencil skirt in the purple floral print marked down to $39 and some Essie for J. Crew nail polish.

  13. Where is this picture from? I've never seen the blue top before. Is it old J Crew or something?

  14. jane,

The blue top is actually a jacket with beautiful crystal encrusted buttons from summer 08 or 09. Crystal starlet jacket might have been the name. I have it and love it:)
