J.Crew Email: IN STORES ONLY: 30% OFF all women's sweaters

"Thanks!" to many of you who made comments throughout the blog, including Just Visiting, Audrey S, as well as Twiga (in this post), IRL (in this post), AppGal & kerryr25 (in this post), to share the latest promotion from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering 30% off all Women's Sweaters in their brick and mortar (B&M) stores! This promotion expires this Monday, October 11, 2010. The following is the fine print of this offer:
*Offer valid in J.Crew retail stores on women's sweaters only. Offer is not valid on jcrew.com orJ.Crew Factory items. Offer cannot be redeemed for cash or applied to previous purchases.Offer valid through Monday, October 11, 2010, 11:59pm ET.
Some JCAs have mentioned being able to use the additional 25% card with this promo, while others have been denied. With the additional 25% off, certain sweaters become a really great deal! So take a chance and check with your local B&M store to see if they will honor both. :)

Have you taken advantage of this latest promotion? If so, what items did you pick up?

  1. Just posted this in another thread but here is a list of what I recall seeing in terms of sale cardigans last night at Madison & 45th in NYC:

    Sofie
    Traversa
    Jackie in wild mushroom
    Leigh
    Rimini
    Whisper glimmer
    Cashmere V-neck with pockets
    Merino Silvana
    Shimmering paillette origami
    Cascading ribbon
    Petit four
    Lumiere ruffle
    Merino shirred
    Merino ruffle moto

As of last night they were honoring the 25% red card discount on top of the promo :)

  2. One thing I forgot to mention: they did ask to see my ID and compared my signature on the red card with my drivers' license. So if you plan to use your red card, don't leave your ID at home!

    ReplyDelete
  3. I was able to use the 25% card on top of the 30% sweater promo. I picked up the Haya sequin sweatshirt and a cashmere turtleneck in a beautiful honey color. The 45th & Madison and 16th and 5th in NYC both honored the Mickey card with the sweater promo.

  4. This makes me mad. I live two hours away from the nearest B&M and it is a particularly pitiful one at that. I buy one hundred per cent of my JC items online. I didn't get a red card either, and I assumed it was for that reason. The people in their promo department don't seem to feel that giving all their customers equal opportunity and/or incentive to buy is important. JC's retail format seems increasingly clueless. Why do I keep shopping there?

    ReplyDelete
  5. I didn't get this email. That said without the additional 25% off white card I will not be buying anything until this promo ends.

I'm with you David, JC is totally taking advantage of people who have no other choice but to shop online/catalog.

They should have at least extended this offer to online/catalog. The way things are done at JC, I questions their marketing and management practice.

    ReplyDelete
  6. David,

I do 99% of my shopping online. I have only bought from stores in Dec. 2009 and May 2010 and an outlet in IN this summer. I did get a red card. So I am not sure your theory pans out in the end but a nice try to figure out JCrew!

    ReplyDelete
  7. David & jcrewphd, I'm glad you're both as pissed as I am. (lol) While I'm stoked for those of you who received the card, part of me seriously contemplated shredding a JC catalog and sending it to ol' Mick in a box along with an explanation. Maybe include a little card saying he can contact me 24/7 with any concerns. *mini-snort*

Make no mistake, I still love the merchandise, but the inconsistency in promotions and especially the price discrepancies (from store to store as well as online vs. in-store) make me completely crazy. And it takes a LOT for me to abstain from JC purchases. It's been weeks since I bought anything. My wallet is happy, but I'm not. :-/

    ReplyDelete
  8. First, I second David, Jcrewphd and Elaine's sentiments.

Second, like Elaine, not getting the red card (or any other coupons in the last 2 years, for that matter) has been good for my wallet. In the last 4 weeks I bought practically nothing. It's liberating, actually. Instead, I've been focusing on cleaning out my closet, and also "shop" my closet. The less I own, I happier I am. The less I obsess about J Crew, the freer I am. It's not such a bad thing, in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Still abstaining. I just can't do it. Instead I placed an order last nite with Talbots for their fall sale and was able to use their 20% off multi-use card that was mailed to all customers in appreciation for their support for them thru recent changes. Woke up 7 hours later and my order has shipped. They have final sale, too. However, it seems to be confined to their outlet section. Shopping with them feels civil and sane.

  10. Marietta did they consider the hay sequin sweatshirt a sweater?!?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Picked up a pair of Jackies, cashmere, and the merino mohair shawl. plus a few (um, a lot of) non-sweater items i've had my eye on since the SA was so nice.

My B&M was a total mess though - who tossed all those those poor sweaters on the floor? and don't get me started about the sequin skirts that are all stuck together. The SAs willing to let us order from the red phone really made what could have been a yucky experience quite the score. JCrew wins as it's the most I've spent with them for a year-plus.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Btw sorry if anyone has posted but there is also 25% off fp case jewelry at my store at least you can combine with your white card!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Still PO'ed that the SA would not give me the 25% discount on a $450 order over the red phone yesterday, when other JCA's are getting it. I didn't place the order and won't until the items go on sale.

It isn't my fault that my lousy B&M doesn't get much in the way of coats and didn't get the shirt and pencil I want.

They had nothing I wanted in store.

    ReplyDelete
  14. kitsmommy,

I would be mad too! I have gone into my local stores a few times since I moved to the area and they NEVER have what I want in stock! I always have to use the red phone or order online. I guess I shouldn't say never b/c in the past year a whole 2 items were actually in store;) But really wish you could get what you want in store like I wish I could AND the discount like others. I used to live near 2 stores that got everything under the sun and now it is such a disappoint and longer drive to the stores I just don't make the time/nor really have it!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Is this promo just for non-sale sweaters? Or are those also marked down further? I am eyeing the Lumiere cardigan and last time I checked it was still $49.99. Could someone chime in on this? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  16. You're right, mjones. I won't deny that I feel lighter yet flush with cash at the moment. :-)

It hasn't stopped me from snapping up some truly incredible deals on eBay, though. I'm actually sort of alarmed at the things people are selling for such low prices. It makes me wonder what the heck is going on.

Last night I found a Bella jacket in my size that was LISTED as a Bella with a Buy It Now for $28. Yes, really. And of course I bought it immediately, but I almost feel bad!

Between that and the piles and piles of merchandise languishing at all the stores I've been in lately, I'm half expecting to start seeing locusts and rivers running blood.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I was at the B&M last night making a return, and I believe it was 30% off all sweaters, even those on sale. No sweaters for me though. If they would have had more colors in the Jackies available, I would have bitten.

I did get a necklace at 25% off though. The full price one is on it's way to me and will be going back for a credit. Yes, a hassle to have to return it, but saving $25 is worth it!

Also, tried on some cool pants that don't seem to be on-line. The sales associate said they were the "Savanah" pant and are $79.50. They didn't have my size, and since I don't see them on-line, I might need to go back and have her order my size for me. They were a cool camel riding pant, but could be professional enough for work.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I did not buy any sweaters under the 30% off promo, but when I was in to buy cords and a minnie pant the SA did mention to me that I could use my 25% card on top of the sweater promo.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Bostonna, yes the 30% off promo works on sale sweaters as well. I did not check on the in-store pricing of the Lumiere cardi last night but I believe I did last week (after I paid more online, of course) and it was $49.99. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, I really pushed the envelope...I went back to my local B&M and asked to return the lumiere in coal I bought a week ago, just to rebuy it and get my $11 back with the 30% off sweaters promo. At first the SA didn't understand what I was asking but I asked if it could be done this once, because I have my eye on the ruffle popover and didn't want to go over my budget :). The SA was very nice and did it and I promptly bought the popover in the heather carbon!

Interestingly, bot the wool-cotton ruffle popover and the dream zip henley must be running large. I was a small in both of these and am almost a medium in every other JC sweater (I generally get the Jackies in the large because I like to wear them with short sleeves). Weird...the mediums looked terrible on me.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I know this is whiny, but I do think the no online promo can be discriminatory. I am petite and so am forced to order online if I want to actually get an item that fits. I asked the SA about it yesterday when I used my 25% card and she agreed that it sucked but said she could do anything about it. I wonder if I'd ordered a petite online and brought it in if they'd price adjust. I doubt it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. jcrewlove - I had specifically asked the manager if the Haya sequin sweatshirt was part of the 30% off promo. She said yes, so I proceeded to checkout. It didn't ring up with the 30% off, so I asked to speak with the manager again. The SA was told to honor the 30% off, and I was able to use the Mickey card as well. I guess it really wasn't part of the promo, but because the manager had told me it was, they stood by their word.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just bought the Arrow sweater. Absolutely beautiful. Nice to see a well made sweater!! Only problem is that my store only got two colors and they did not have the caramel color I really wanted!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I found it interesting that I received this email in the two e mail accounts I use the least...but not in my email that I use to place orders. Shame on you, J Crew.
Do you think we don't have friends who share info???
I also went to a J Crew Warehouse sale set up in our city for 3 days today that I also received nothing about...found out from a young student teacher who is now teaching at a different school, but forwarded the email to all her J Crew friends. This is really getting tiring.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Leader Girl: The caramel color is online only, I believe. I want the same one but ended up getting the moss green color instead so I could get the 30% off. It IS absolutely beautiful...love it!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Amazing disparity between those who can get to a B&M *and* use the white card for an additional % off sweaters and those who have to shop online with no white card.

Why on earth would J.Crew do such a thing in this day and age of instant information sharing?! The NYorker article said that Mickey prefers random market research and this pretty much confirms that statement. Totally wacko.

    ReplyDelete
  27. XOXO - I agree, and unfortunately I am unwilling to part with my hard earned money from now on, there are many other stores that are getting my business now...

    ReplyDelete
  28. jcrewlove, I called my ps today to see if the haya was part of the 30% promo and, alas, it is not. :( Guess I'll have to continue to wait.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Has anyone bought or tried on the
Shimmering paillette vest item #28146? I would love some feedback on it. TIA

    ReplyDelete
  30. My local b&m is honoring red phone purchases with 30% off sweater promo and 25% red card if they don't have your size or color. Also, for the We Will Find It For You with 30% off and red card. Both are free shipping if the item is full price. I totally scored today!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Appgal,
Thanks, that is good to know. I had the green one in my hand and was debating between the green and the gray. I liked the green better, but the gray goes with more in my closet, so I bought the gray. To be honest, I wouldn't mind having this is multiple colors. It is perfect for our mild SC winters.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I went into my Cambridge, MA store this afternoon and there was nothing anywhere in the store about 30% off sweaters! Did I miss it? Is it only at certain stores?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hello All:

I don't want to add fuel to the fire, but I have another story of the inconsistencies of J.Crew.

Today I went to a B&M store, I was looking for a particular cardigan. It wasn't in store. Turns out it was on-line only. The SA called up on the red phone for me and got me the cardigan WITH the 30% AND my 25% red card AND free shipping. While I was on the phone with the customer service lady, i asked if I could add a sale cardigan, which was 49.99 AND she applied the 30% AND then 25%, so it came down to $26.

For everyone that isn't getting these deals, I say, return that stuff and go to a different sales associate.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It is totally wacko. At the same store today I was told by a ps (who knows me well as I have been shopping there for years even if she is not my ps) that if they called the catalog to order a sweater thay was sold out in my size in the store she could give me the 30% off but not the 25% off. Another SA gave me online price matching (sweater on sale online but not in store), 30% off and 25% off (so in the end I paid $52 down from $168). So you have to insist and/or go to see another SA if you happen on a SA who got the memo.
I agree that it would have been more fair if this 30% off sweaters promo came at least after expiration of the 25% card and was also valid online.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @ Bostanna:

I was in the Cambridgeside Galleria today, and it is 30% off all sweaters, FP and sale. And they let me combine that with my student discount as well - no wonder I left with five new cardigans...

Not only did my student discount come off the FP items that were 30% off, but it came off my sale cardigans, and the Matte jersey Marot dress (# 27594), that was already marked down to $39.99 (from $198!).

    ReplyDelete
  36. I had no luck the other day using the 25% off card with the sweater promo at the Rock Center store, so I went to Madison and 45th yesterday and was able to take advantage of both together. I couldn't find the Arrow sweater in green in my size, so had to go with gray, but both colors are pretty and saved 24 bucks!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Bummer - wish this was online too. I have several sweaters I have been eyeing....

    ReplyDelete
  38. i bought the dream tweed cardigan and used my 25% off card as well. the 5th ave / e 17th st was fairly picked over. however the staff was great and with the 30% sweater discount, i was one happy camper.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I bought the Traversa cardigan in Nutmeg. I tried on Heather Traversa and it was incredibly itchy. TTS but fitted.

The sweaters were 30% off. I was allowed to use my 25% card on top of that. They were not final sale like they are online. I paid $26.54 with tax.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I stopped in yesterday afternoon, and it's sweater and Minnie-pant madness at the San Francisco store. They have a ton of items on promo, and with my extra 25% off card I got some major deals:

    Marled Shawl-collar cardigan in "saddle"
Merino boyfriend sweatshirt in a nice rust color I don't see online
    Washed and Aged Utility jacket
    A little cotton striped tank

If you're looking for some great fall items, it's definitely worth stopping by for a look-see. :)

  41. Hi! This is OT, but I was looking at the dot items on JC's website and the petite ink dot dress popped up, size 12. Sigh, if only it had been a regular 12. $99.99 On my tall frame, it would like a woman wearing a child's dress. Perhaps one of you has been looking for this dress in this size. Good luck!

  42. Ooops. I meant to type "look like." Oh well, the good intention is there to let you know I saw this cute dress. Ok, off I go.

    ReplyDelete
  43. This is a first. I scored at the Walnut Creek, Ca location. The sale section was pretty fat this morning, w/ a lot of shirts and sweaters to choose from.

I was able to return and repurchase my recent sweaters purchases and use the 25% card on top of the 30%. I did hear that they aren't allowing the student/teacher discount to be used in conjunction w/ I think the 25%.

Word of warning, the store was packed by the time i left and all their computers are down. They had to write out my receipt, which makes things extra confusing.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I forgot to mention, that Walnut Creek store don't have any Dream V Cardigans and were out of the Plaid Boyfriend sweater. But they did have a few Cashmere and Jackies in the sale section, which are additional 30% as well.

I ended up rebuying my unworn Plaid Cardi & Arrow sweater, and returning the Sequin Henley tank (it's just not me). I repurchased the same tank, minus the sequins for $15.

I also got some great sale items:the Tissue Tux Henley, a tissue sweater that I don't see online, a Jackie Cardi, a Cashmere Cardi in hthr Cblstone. I also got an interesting green Zip cardigan (not online) & Cashmere Cardi in Rose dust for $82.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Made 2 returns today and just thought I'd comment that everyone in front of me in line was also making a return. I think this hints that Crew needs to step things up pronto...to have that many unhappy customers is a bit strange.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I got a white cashmere turleneck for $85 (used my 25% off red card on top of the sweater promotion) from the Columbus Circle store.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I couldn't find a sweater that I just had to have, but I did buy a pair of bootcut cords in a beautiful green color. Also bought some items for my sister and her kids. :) My ps said new items will be in on the 20th. It was hard to leave the haya sequin sweatshirt behind again, but the price is just ridiculous.

  49. Oh, I'm going to pass. I stopped buying JCrew's sweaters a long time ago due to quality concerns, especially the cashmere ones (pilling, paper-thin, etc). As much as I would like to take advantage of this offer (and stack it on top of the 25% Mickey card), I will follow my good judgment and keep buying beautiful Scottish cashmere...Wish y'all happy shopping!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Gata,
Where do you get your Scottish Cashmere from?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Broke my vow not to buy more J. Crew for awhile since I happened to get a gift card for my birthday a few days ago. Got the marled hoodie pullover and lumiere cardigan in charcoal. Love them both. Now wish I had also bought the Traversa cardigan in black. My have to go back tomorrow for that one since I know I would wear it a lot this winter. Saw a loved the new merino lace zip cardigan and am hoping to get that one on super sale later in the season.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ok, please excuse this totally random question....
But if anyone can answer it, I'd be soooo appreciative.
Last month on the website, there was a picture of the "silk tiered ruffle cami" styled with a tee underneath. Does anyone remember, was it white? Short sleeve? Or even better yet, have the picture saved somewhere? Don't have the cami yet and am trying to plan my reunion outfit (it will arrive the DAY of the reunion...yes, last minute planning I know.) Just would love to "see" it--I remember liking it, but just took a quick glance way back when.
    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Bostanna, in what store did you see the lace zip up cardigan?

    Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I didn't see the merino lace zip cardigan or the Dream tweed cardigan in my Walnut creek store. Both are beautiful.

I would have loved the Waffled cashmere cardigan in grey, but it seems to be sold out online and I've never seen it in store.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Kris - it was in the Atrium Mall store in Chestnust Hill, MA. They had a few other new things too that were very nice but I don't know what they are called.

    ReplyDelete
  56. The two things I liked about living in Mass, is the great shopping on Newbury St. & the Tax Free shopping.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I was able to use the 25% off in addition to the 30% off promotion. If you were denied, I would definitely call JCrew and complain... maybe they can do an adjustment over the phone.

The store I went to was such a disaster it was hard to find anything. I think if the store had been in better condition, I actually would have bought more. It's a good thing for my wallet that it was such a mess!

    ReplyDelete
  58. very OT- but thought people should know in case someone hadn't already posted about it..also curious if anyone else experienced this

I tried to order the exhibitor mega tote today for my mom's birthday next week, she'd been eying it for a while, and the sales associate told me they couldn't honor the student/educator discount on phone orders anymore!? The only way to get this discount now is apparently by showing your ID at the retail store..Golly now how does that work out for all the students/educators that don't live anywhere near a B&M? Wasn't sure if this was one of those policies where there are descrepancies between SAs, or whether it was something new they were "trying out" but I was too annoyed to bother with her and promptly canceled my order. I'll just have to find mother something else I guess!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I got a red card once and that was it, guess my market research is complete!

perhaps the percentage of people who read blogs and search for other info is small compared to the actual amount of customer who walk into the stores and purchase.

it does seem unfair, when random groups get these "perks'.
when one takes into consideration amount spent and credit card etc..... no consistency

    ending complaining now.!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I don't get what all the fuss is about the Arrow sweater. It's been commented on for weeks and weeks, and I keep looking at it thinking...am I missing something?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Charlottesometimes,

For me "the fuss" about the Arrow sweater is that out of an entire website of clothing, this is the only thing I really want (sad, but true). I used to have about 10-15 items that I was really wanting. I used to have to choose which 1 item that I could purchase. Also, the quality of items lately has not lived up to my expectations. Too trendy, too many ruffles/sequins, too thin, too much $$$, etc.

The Arrow sweater reminds me of my very first J. Crew purchase a few years ago (I am a newbie). It was a sweater jacket (Camilla, I think) in a beautiful navy. It was well made, had some substance, and a beautiful color. The Arrow seems like more of what I used to want to purchase.

This is just my personal reason for getting this item.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Charlotte sometimes: I thought the same exact thing about the Arrow sweater as you when it first came out. I couldn't understand why it was so popular. Then I tried it on, and I "got" it. It's probably the most well-made item out there in j.crew's options and was incredibly flattering, imo. Since I adore sweater jackets, I know I'll get a lot of wear out of it. If you haven't tried it on yet, you should--maybe you'll get "the fuss" then :) But then again, it may not be for you!

    ReplyDelete
  63. wolfy-
the waffled cashmere cardigan is in the sale section online.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Citychic, I asked precisely that question on the online chat - and was told that you could buy an item online first at full price, then you email jcrew from your student/educator address (I assume it ends in ....edu) and then they will adjust the 15% discount. That was this summer anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Citychic- it's a new developement at J Crew. Yes,back in summer teachers/student discount could be used on online/red phone orders with verification. Sadly,as of this month catalogue is no longer honoring the discount ( my PS was sorry, but firm- it's the new rule). So, it's for in-store purchases only. To make things even more complicated, the discount can/can't be applied to promo items (at manager's discretion, case by case). It used to be applied to any purchasea, then sale items were excluded and finally it seems promo items are excluded as well. Two mangers at my store got in the argument about specifics, one claimed promos AND discount can still be used together, another one claimed they can't. And we stuck in a middle of it.. Yet, another bad move on J Crew's part {Imo}, but they are not listenin'...

    ReplyDelete
  66. I have to say I took advantage of the sweater promo along with my White card, I scored quite a few items.

I got quite a few tees as well, the Paris tee was $9.99 less the white card it was a steal.

I also did not "get" it with the Arrow, but once on it is lovely, I got the green. I also got two traversas, the Ruffled Moto in Charcoal, a Black Rimini and the Dream Zip Henley in Cypress. I saw a customer walk in with the Dream Zip on and it was gorgeous. I also got the Silvana over the Red phone and the 25% was honored.

I would be stinking mad had I not received a White Card. It was completely unfair to reward some customers and not others. 25% on top of 30% was a fabulous promotion and should have been made available to all.

Like everyone else I do not understand why many were not gifted with this card. Not nice J. Crew you could have had many compliments and happy fans had all been treated equally.

  68. I'm not a teacher nor student...
But what if you order full priced item on line, and bring it to the store and return it? Nothing's wrong here.
And... something you want online just became available in-store! if someone wants to buy it, would JC turn them down? especially full priced item? Store managers wouldn't want to have extra inventory.
There's always loopholes around not-so-well made restrictions.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Thanks, lbelleconner, I saw that but they are out of it in the grey color that wanted.

What I mentioned was my B&M store didn't have it, and it was out in the color I like online. I will away on business for at least a month, and won't be able to have items sent to me while I'm gone.

Now, has anyone heard of a instore Jewelry promo. Someone mentioned this on another blog. Are the watches included?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Wolfy, the sign in the jewelry case said 25% off select jewelry. I wasn't interested in any pieces, so I didn't ask. But b/c of the select comment, I would guess that the watches are excluded.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Wolfy: I get it at Sierra Trading Post (limited selection, incredible deals), Paul Stuart, Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere (http://www.johnstonscashmerenantucket.com) and Isle of Sky. My absolute favorite is Johnstons of Elgin, no pilling whatsoever, beautiful thick yet light cashmere. Like wine, it gets better with time and use.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Watches are not included. At my store you are able to stack your 25% off card with the 25% off case jewelry! hTH. Ends tomorrow.... Or stack with student id! At our store you can stack promo and one outside promotion!

  73. Thanks Mathteacher & Jcrewlove for confirming the Jewlery promo. I didn't see a sign at my B&M, the other day, but I did see women swarming the cases. A few of them actually pushed me out of the way to take a look-see.

Oh well, I'm only interested in the watches. I guess I can still use my 25% off or finally buy on evilbay.

Thanks Gata for sharing your Cashmere secret. I'll check them out.

  74. Wolfy I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the timex watch is usually excluded from all promotions- one of the few things you can't get a discount on. Maybe I'm wrong though?! I'll doulbe check next time I'm there!!

  75. I have not noticed the Arrow sweater in store, I am wondering if my store doesn't carry it. I will indeed try it on. I was just confused b/c it really seems quite plain looking, IMO. The dream zip henley is gorgeous, seems to run one size large. Can't decide if the arms itch me, may have to layer.

  76. I went in today and I was just too exhausted to fight for a return/repurchase w/the 30% deal. I was hoping they'd have the couple sweaters I had bought, and I was just going to buy them and return the others b/c they were unworn. but my store was pretty well cleared out, so my plan didn't work out. I just didn't have the fight in me today. I have til tomorrow I guess to go back one more time to see if they'll let me return/repurchase. But I don't think I'll be feeling any differently tomorrow.

  77. The Boston J Crew will let you apply the 25% card on top of the sweater promo.

That said, I couldn't find anything I wanted at all except for a belt. Nothing fit me well (I'm petite). Yes, I know some of you will be jealous I got a red card, but it DID work if it was their marketing strategy: I wouldn't have gone to the B&M if I didn't have the card, I wouldn't have bought anything if I didn't have the card, and I haven't bought any J Crew in months.

  79. I just used it tonight to buy a Jackie and they honored both discounts.

I honestly think the card thing was just random. I never ever get any of the free gifts or cards in the past and I got it this time. I normally buy online too. I know in my previous job we would use an outside printing/marketing company to distribute various promotional materials. That was many times done at random. I wonder if Jcrew possibly does something similar.

  80. I tried a lot of sweaters, but couldn't justify $99 for a cardi even with the discount.

  81. I just got back from the store, and scored on a number of cardis. I posted a few pictures here.

  82. Okay, I am now on the official ban list for JC. Went back again today, this time to the Pleasanton, Ca store.

Found the Dream Tweed Cardigan <3 & returned the Cashmere Jackie in hthr plum, which was just alright. Got a sweatshirt adjusted, that didn't come up 30% the other day, and ended up w/ a new Jackie cardi for only $3 after all the adjustments and returns.

Not much left in the sale section at this store.
