  1. I'm glad to see they are offering another promo, although I was hoping it was going to be on new arrivals instead. The leather Sidewalk wedge in Beach Pebble is on my wish list, but unfortunately it isn't included in this promo, so I won't be taking advantage of it.

  2. Same here ... I'm holding out for a new arrivals promo (especially since we're in the middle of yet another winter storm!).

  3. Gosh, I adore their cognac riding boots. Maybe I'll take a quick look to see I'd they're included though I doubt it. The SA told menthey never go on sale...

  4. The JCA opinion seems to be that Madewell shoes are good quality and some of them are really cute. Too often though, they are similar to something I already have or the colors aren't a good fit for my wardrobe. I keep checking though. Everything else I've bought from Madewell has been great.

  5. I love the Oxford Slingback heels, but I still think they're overpriced even w/the 20% off. I'm praying they'll make it to another markdown in my size.

  6. I really like some of the Madewell shoes and would buy them except that I can't stand that tapered heel! It's going to look so out of date in a year or two. It's better than the severe cone, but still too faddish. I wish they would have put the straight heels on those shoes. Straight heels are never really in style but are never out of style either.

  7. I just got my Two Tone Aberdeen Oxfords in the mail today. All I have to say is they were well worth the stalking investment. You never know if your long term hunting relationship with an item will pay off at first sight but this one didn't loose any luster when they were finally in my hands.

They are well made, I would classify them as comfortable (they aren't a pair of borns, but no where near a Jcrew ballet shoe), they fit TTS. I love the removable fan and plan on not removing it. It becomes removable by unlacing thr shoe snd thus unlacing the fan to the shoe.

The leather is soft in comparison to other high quality oxfords, they feel like they will be easy to break in. The laces are solid and I don't forsee fraying or breaking anytime soon. They aren't too narrow, long or dainty as was my complaint with several pairs I have tried on. A good representation of an Oxford with flair.

I also received the Wideleggers. Let me say that I lOve them more in person. As was mentioned by Tres Tippy they are a light weight denim. They have a great saturated blue denim color. There are side tabs that button at the waist. I feel like they don't hit to high, I didn't feel silly in them one bit and could see numerous ways to wear them. They run tts or maybe a hair bigger from my Jcrew size. I think this is due to the wideleg. I'm used to fitting jeans to my "athletic" legs and my waist second. This time I should have just order my size according to my waist so I could have gone down at least on size and maybe two.

One thing I appreciated was that the back pockets were placed lower so even with the high waist the pockets didn't sit at the very top of the bum making it look extra long. Since they were well placed it broke up the high rise and didn't make your backside look forever long (my complaint with high rise). I'll be returning, ordering and waiting for the smaller size, I do love then that much.

    Whew, Cheers

  8. And now that I go to reorder they only have a 24....tears!

I should have listened to FFM direct advice to purchase two sizes.

If anyone would like a pair in size 28 let me know or they are off to be retuned....

  10. The Liberty print shirts are pretty, but I wish they were the LOL 100% cotton fabric. I'm not a big fan of the sheer cotton/silk blend.
