Madewell Email: Shoe envy (+ free shipping on any order)

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Closet Crisis (in this post), who shared the following email from Madewell this morning.

Madewell is featuring their shoes (click here to shop online), with a particular focus on their Peekaboo Slingback (Item 37383; $198.00). They are described as "slide them on, lace them up and enjoy the breezy cool of these half oxfords, half sandals".

Even more exciting is Madewell latest promotion. They are offering free shipping on any order (no min!) with promo code SHOPAWAY. This offer ends Sunday, March 13, 2011. The fine print includes:
*Free shipping offer valid on madewell.com orders shipped via regular shipping (3 to 6 business days). Offer is applied at checkout with promo code SHOPAWAY. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotion and cannot be applied to previous purchases. Offer is valid through Sunday, March 13, 2011, 11:59pm ET.
What a great promotion! It's too bad there is nothing I am particularly interested at Madewell right now though.

Will you be checking out the shoes at Madewell? Are there any items you are interested in getting? If so, please share. :)

  1. I have a post about Madewell running on my blog today: Madewell: Free Shipping/No Minimum Promo. I've been very pleased with all of my Madewell purchases so far. I think they're definitely worth checking out if you've ever been considering it.

  2. Does anyone have the Madewell Tribute Tee? I love a-line tees and I'm wondering about the quality of the fabric, is it sheer, is it TTS, etc.

  3. OK, just ordered a Tribute Tee, my first ever Madewell order. FFM, thanks for your comment about being pleased with your Madewell items. I only ordered one tee and then saw that the free shipping promo ends on Sunday, I'll probably order more before then. I guess there is no Madewell store in Chicago (are there any B&M stores?) so I didn't have to pay sales tax, that's nice. I think Chicago has the highest sales tax in the US.

  4. tamara: I haven't purchased any of their tees, so I'll be looking forward to your thoughts when you receive the Tribute tee. Which color did you get?

  5. I just ordered some RopeySoles espadrilles on sale. Crossing my fingers they work out.

  6. I bought the pink oyster color. I'm very pale, I like the washed out pale colors. Even though the promo is ending on Sunday and I won't have my tee by then, I'm going to wait to order any more. The fabric content isn't disclosed but I have a feeling it's a linen-cotton blend. My Eileen Fisher a-line tees are 100% linen, I love them!

  7. I got a couple pairs of Madewell sandals on super sale a couple months back. I love the style of Madewell shoes. I'm looking forward to wearing them a lot this summer. I wish they were cheaper though.

  8. Does anybody know which day of the week there are new markdowns on the Madewell website? I have a couple of items on sale in my cart that I would like to try but I will wait until the price goes lower or a % off comes along.
Tamara, we have a Madewell store in NYC (which makes returns easy). I think the first store was Seattle?

  9. I will likely try a few more Madewell items with this code. I've only bought about 10 things so far but I have loved every one of them.
