Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I visited my crewlet and my retail b&m... big weekend!

Crewlet has tons of cute new things reviewed by many fellow JCAs on their blogs. I especially liked that knee length a-line cotton number with the polka dots. I have to have that (when it lands on the clearance rack with an extra percent off...)

I purchased the Letour Floral Lucinda Dress... two sizes smaller than my usual size. It runs huge. I'd say size down one for sure.

Also, it is awesome if you have a chest or are just generally curvy. I am not curvy really but I do have a chest big enough that 99% of J.Crew strapless dresses are out of the question, if you know what I mean. The dress looks pretty terrible on the model, because it just hangs like a sack... and frankly looks a bit laura ingalls. It is slimming and flattering IRL, and not nearly as precious as it looks online. Highly recommend. Oh, and it was only $49.99 in store. I couldn't resist. Perfect now with boots and leggings, perfect later with a nice pair of sandals. If only I had a blog I could post real pictures to prove my point... because looking at that pic online I'd never think about buying it!

  3. I just don't get the fit of the Minnies. I tried them on last year and thought it was me. This weekend I gave them another shot and they are like leggings they are so tight on my legs. I can see the outline of my calves. I had such high hopes!

  5. Also...for those of you who missed out on the Bici tee, some Crewlets are selling the actual retail version (not an outlet version). I saw a huge stack of them at the Crewlets in Mebane, NC over the weekend.

  6. I got two pairs of gray wool stockings. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! I gotta have 5+ pairs by now :) Can't beat the price of $6.99 and made in Italy :))))

  7. Went to both the b&m and crewlet. I made a huge return at the b&m. The store was crazy busy. I exchanged a perfect shirt for a larger size but after visiting the outlet I will be returning. The perfect shirts at outlet are just as nice! And I paid about $20 each instead of $70.

Outlet has tons of cute things!!! I got a long cotton cardigan that is identical to last year's retail version. Kind of a darker mint green. They also had a bright coral/ orange, yellow, raspberry, steel gray and blush colors.

Lots of cute shorts too! Straw hats. Cute scarves. Only saw one retail silk driving scarf left. Jackies were 50% off. I got the zebra print for about $28. It is over $60 online! Btw...they had the zebra print trench on the sale rack marked down to $79 with 20% off. Still full price online.

Picked up two perfect shirts in the gingham seersucker. One is the wild blackberry and the other I don't see online is a bright pink.

Also got the factory version of the Bazaar tunic dress. Me lovey! Quality seems nice. It is a linen cotton blend and can be machine washed! Price was $98 with 30% off and I had an additional 20% off coupon making it about $58! Well worth it imo. For info 4 fit fine but 6 felt better and the length isn't too short on me. I am 5'7". I saw appgal posted pics of it and I made a beeline for it. I was the first person to purchase from my outlet.

    Hope this helps someone!!!

  9. I stopped by the JCrew in PV and I'm glad I got to finally see stuff in person! A lot of the time i find myself loving certain items i see online but once i see them in person, the quality just isn't there! And the SIZING IS WAAAY OFF! JCrew should really start offering free return shipping because everything i would have ordered would have been HUGE on me!

The sale section was pretty picked over and even with some of the great prices I'd rather save my $$ and buy something i love instead.

I also stopped by Ontario Mills and they had tons of cute stuff. Mostly last years prints in diff styles.. Pretty pricey still and I especially hate how the prices of the store outlet and online outlet are different. I don't get it?!

  10. I second what buericana said...What is up with the Minnies? Everyone I know who has tried them on says they are 2 sizes too big in the waist and way to tight in the calves. I could see so many sues for them in my closet. I wish J Crew could design them so they fit properly.

  11. I actually have two pairs of the twill Minnies and love them! I don't know what the magic trick is, but they fit me well. I don't have many curves . . more of a straight figure . . so that might be it? Bummer they don't work for others!

Sounds like lots of good finds at the outlet! I was there last week and got some great things. I left a few things behind, but have been thinking about them, so I think I'll be back this week too. :) Definitely cheaper prices there than on-line!!

  12. I also am more of a straight figure and really like the Minnies. I was in my b&m today and tons of new arrivals. Lots of super cute things. I tried on a few items, but I'm waiting before I buy right now. Lots of dresses, which I don't have a huge need for. But also tons of other things.
