First Look at J.Crew Store In Canada

As mentioned recently in the "J.Crew Moves Into Canada {this year!}" post, J.Crew is finally moving to Canada later this Summer.

A big "thanks!" to Alison who confirmed this news and even snapped the following photo over at her local mall, Yorkdale Mall, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Very exciting news for our Canadian JCAs! Hopefully this is just the beginning too, with more stores scheduled to open. :)

Did you see the store front at Yorkdale Mall? Are you excited about J.Crew {finally} coming to Canada?

  5. I'm excited that J.Crew is coming to Canada but there are many U.S. locations a lot closer to me than the T.O. location. It's pretty much a day trip by air to get there so I'll be watching for them to arrive out West.

Great news for JCAs in the Toronto area though, I'm sure it will be fun to have a B&M nearby.

  6. I am excited for the east coast JCA's. I'm with xoxo, it's easier for me to drive to Seattle than fly to TO to visit JC. Can't wait to hear about the store displays, prices, etc.

  7. *hyperventilating*

So excited...FINALLY, after decades of secretly spending company time hunting down J.Crew whenever I'm in the US, a store in my very own city!

Louise, I'll be in the parking lot too for opening day! I hope there'll be some kind of special invitation for us!

  8. I'm excited that J.Crew is finally opening a store in Canada! Hopefully this opens the door to getting a J.Crew store in Vancouver as well.

  9. Does this mean that J.Crew will follow a similar system to BR when they began shipping to Canada? Their website features prices in Canadian funds and much lower taxes!

  10. Yay!!!!

    I'm applying to work there:)

  11. @J Crew guy: I agree! It would be great if we could get some reductions in the tariffs. Or at the very least, free returns like everyone else. Are you in the Toronto area?

  12. teeny84 I'm out west. I was in Vegas over Easter and the staff at the J.Crew store told me two additional stores in the west were being opened as well. Vancouver/Edmonton or Calgary? Here's hoping it happens.

I'd be most happy with a break on taxes/tariffs. My order today was just a shade over $150 after the discount, but then I had over $45 in taxes. :(

  13. @jcrew guy: I definitely feel your pain. I can't really justify buying things without either the free shipping or the additional % off sales because the tariffs bump the prices up so much. Anyways, fingers are crossed and I'll definitely report back on the prices in the new store.
