J.Crew Summer Sale {it's back!}

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know about an update to JCrew.com.

Well it is officially Summer, as J.Crew changed their Spring Sale to Summer Sale online (click here). They also updated the section early this morning, with what looked like several new-to-sale items.

Did you check out the Summer Sale section today? Were you able to snag any amazing deals? If so, please share! :)

  2. I love that image too, pathos! It's so cute and summery. And I'm surprised it worked with my Firefox browser, I have Flash disabled, I guess it's just an animated gif or jpg.

  3. Getting PA on Tea Stained Dobby Dress, which was my first J. crew purchase this year - yay! This dress is amazing, although I wish it were a bit longer.

  5. Pathos and Genny, I too found the image cute. Kind of funny, it is such a simple thing.

    I would love to hear a report on what is actually on sale at the stores and what the price differences are! : )

  7. Has anyone tried the linen cape cardigan? How is the sizing?
    I've been waiting for it to go on sale.

  8. Has anyone seen the boy shirt in washed oxford cloth (bleached blue), item #37879, in stores? It wasn't online for the past few days, now it's back but just in a 14 (I need an 8). Thanks!

  9. I may jump for the tea-stained dobby dress, but my heart is set on getting the Siesta for a bit cheaper than $138...

  10. pathos, the style # is 31477 and the color code is PBW. Doesn't sound like the same jean. I didn't realize they had a new pair of downtown skinnies in the store - I'll have to look next time I'm there b/c I LOVE them (maybe more than the toothpick, although the toothpick are a better length for short me :D).

    (I am posting this again in case you miss the other one.)

  11. Maryeb- I remember someone reviewing the linen cape cardi weeks ago on this blog. I don't have the time to search but I thought I mention it.

    From what I remember the loved it.

  12. Math Teacher-thanks for following up! Doesn't sound like the same jean, but I'd check out another pair as well...I like them better than toothpick also; they seem like a straighter cut. The dark rinse I got are really nice, no wicking, just deep blue. Cheers!

  13. There were several price cuts this morning in the sale section and some new items added, too. The Schoolboy Madras blazer is now $69.99 and the Silk Sophie blouse is $29.99 (really decent price for that one). I'm pretty sure the Beaumont Blazer is a new addition. I didn't get anything this morning since I don't have free shipping on my account and there isn't a code going around. I do have a one-time use code for free ship but I'm hanging on to it for now since there isn't anything I absolutely *have to have*.

  16. This might be old news as I haven't been in a B&M in a while (shocking, I know), but the Beatrice blouse is $39.99 in store. Other in-store markdowns:

    - Indie dress ($89.99 I think)
    - Eyelet derby dress in white ($89.99)
    - Hideaway dress (I think the black or navy was $39.99 in store; other colors may vary)
    - Jessie dress ($89.99)
    - Jane dress (I can't remember, around $99 or $89)

    - Schoolboy blazer in summer stripe ($69 or $79)
    - Presentation jacket ($89 or $99 -- all the 99s look the same after a while)

    There were some other schoolboys on sale, a striped one that was a thicker cotton. It might be an older sale item.

    Other than the Beatrice, I didn't really see any shirts/tops that I really like marked down -- although there were a LOT of perfect shirts and boy shirts in the sale section, some for only $29.99 (like the Perfect Shirt in Amory Floral)

    - Soiree skirt, $59.99? Looks flimsy and the shape is all wrong for me.
    - Conference skirt in both blue and beige is $59.99
    - Swoon skirt is also on sale, but forgot for how much -- probably at least $59 -- the fabric on this one is too bulky, IMO

    - Embroidered bib tunic, $19.99

    Hope this helps someone! Will also post on my blog, with links.

    * Online

  18. I got this silk-linen v-neck sweater during the last 30% off sale and free shipping for $34.99 It looks like it sold out but check for popbacks.

    It is gorgeous but very light - perfect for summer. It is more fitted on me than the model and the sleeves are not abnormally skinny. The drape is very nice. It is a very delicate sweater and the colors are so fun and vibrant!
