Check Out J.Crew's September Catalog {thanks Suzy!}

A big "thanks!" to Suzy, of the "Bichonluvrs Closet" blog, who scanned several pages of the September catalog for us. To check it all out:
I also wanted to give "thanks!" to Life As A Cat, of the "J.Crew Archives" blog, who posted the entire September and August 2011 catalog. Check them out:
"Thanks!" to Fabulous Florida Mommy, of the "Fabulous Florida Mommy " blog, who also posted the entire August 2011 catalog. Check it out: J.Crew August 2011 Catalog

Lastly, Roxy (in this post) let us know a great tip relating to catalogs:
For people missing the online catalogs, if you own an iPad there are a few apps that let you browse (and buy from!) J.Crew's catalog. Catalogue by the Find and Google Catalog just to name a couple.
I am confused as to why J.Crew would remove the browse catalog feature. On the bright side, I am so proud of our JCAs who have stepped up and provided us the catalogs to view. Very proud. Thank you ladies for all your hard work. It is much appreciated!!!

  1. Oh, beautiful! I can't wait for my catalog to arrive. Thanks for sharing!

I lived in St Petersburg for a while and am amused at the idea of seeing J Crew in SPb!

  3. This is great! Thank you all. It's so nice to be able to look at a catalog before going into the store or ordering online. seeing it all styled really makes a difference. For those of us who get the catalog at the end of the month rather than the start, this is a real treat.

  4. Thank you so much! I haven't gotten the August or September catalog, and I live 3 hrs away from a store :>

  5. I appreciate location shots, but I think I am mostly interested in styling. I don't feel St Petersburg really added much to the clothes or vibe; wishing to see more styling. On another note, it was nice to see the arm pits of the turtlenecks pulled strangely even on ballerinas, and not just me.

  6. Thanks for the posts, Bichonluvr!!

I can't wait for my catalog. If I receive 2, like I've done in the past couple months, I'd be glad to send my extra one to another JCA :)

  7. I was shocked to get my catalog yesterday. I looked through it right before I went to bed and now have half the catalog dog-earred. There are some really pretty things this season! :)

  8. I just got the August catalog this week. I wonder how the mailout to Canadians will go for September considering they have different prices. Will it be a separate catalog, or will they just slap a sticker on the front saying that we need to go to jcrew.com to see the Canadian prices.

Oh, what am I saying, if anyone can ensure the organized delivery of catalogs it is J.Crew. Ya right. :P

  12. I also scanned and posted the August catalog on my blog the day after we all discovered it wasn't going to be on the J.Crew website back in July. I have it in slideshow form HERE.

Thanks to Suzy for scanning the September catalog. I picked one up last night that I was going to scan today, so I appreciate her taking the time to do it already. :)

  15. Suzy, FFM and Life as a Cat, you guys are awesome! Thanks for posting these online!! What is wrong with them that they took the catalogs off the website?!

  17. Life As A Cat, you and anyone else involved in your project are absolute angels! I'm not getting catalogs despite repeatedly signing up for them. The September catalog is great!

Elaine, just wanted to let you know I had to laugh about the "extreme popbacks" I saw in the sale section today. The oldest, I think, is the velvet flower pin! It's an oldie but goodie, I have that thing in 3 colors, I wish they would continue to make it in more colors.

  18. Thanks EVERYONE for posting the Sept. catalogs. This community is fabulous! I will be very sad if we lose our Canadian JCA's!

  19. I just picked up the catalog and for the first time in ages, it's dog-eared with things id love to get and looks to emulate. I'm also wild about the fact that they're finally focused on the clothes again and not the quirky styling. I am just so tired of seeing a simple boring piece with gobs of jewelry piled on - there was almost no jewelry on the models for once! It made me focus on the colors and the fit - and so many pieces seemed like classics I'll wear for years! Dont get me wrong, i love a good arm party or fun necklace, but i dont need anymore jewelry - i need classic wearable clothes that are worth buying. Finally!!

  21. I'll admit the juxtaposition of St Petersburg and the quintessentially American J Crew style made me chuckle, as did the Paris catalog, but I enjoyed the catalog. (Mine came in the mail Saturday.)

What I LOVE most about this catalog and the August one, though, is that the outfits in it are wearable for real people. Yay! No more bizarre layering. The outfits, color combinations, and layering were creative and fresh but within the realm of what real people could wear.

  22. Yay, I received a catalog today, and it seems my 90 day shopping break this past April thru July from JC paid off...free ship code on page 23. Thanks JCrew!
