J.Crew Final Sale {nice update!}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including ruffles (in this post), as well as Irina, who let us know about the morning update to JCrew.com.

J.Crew had a very nice (& large) update to their Final Sale online (click here). Some new items made it into the Sale section and some additional markdowns too! Lots of items up for grabs in lots of sizes (1,600+ items for Women, as well as 400+ items for Men). Not sure how long that will last (as I write this, 1,550+ items for Women).

There will probably be more (great) updates to the Sale section in the upcoming weeks. (Since most of J.Crew's brick & mortar (B&M) stores sent back all their sale items to the warehouse.)

I will be sitting this one out. An additional percent off might entice me, but right now I rather save my pennies for several new Fall items! :)

Did you check out the Final Sale section today? Were you able to snag any amazing deals? If so, please share! :)

  1. I used my 20% cardmember code this morning on a few Fall items as well as the new sale items which is what I was waiting for! Now I am officially banning myself until I can actually start wearing my Fall clothes :)

  2. I looked but the few things I wanted either fell out of my cart before I could buy them or weren't available in the first place, boo hoo. ... :(

  3. Ordered the violet ink dipped popover a week ago and received a yellow pair of crewcuts pants instead. The popover popped back this morning, so I was able to reorder it. I called CS to ask for a waiver on shipping, which she said she would do, but I would have to wait for it to be credited back, after they charged me for the full amount. *sigh* But, hopefully, it will ship and actually be the correct item.

  4. I wanted the cashmere stripe sweater dress but it didn't popback in my size. :-(

  5. A bit OT, but I received my cardholder promo order and will be posting some reviews on my blog over the next day or so. I started with the Vibrant Flame Hacking Jacket, which you can see here:

    Please forgive my iphone pics, as the color looks CRAZY bright in the photos but is instead just a very bright pinky corally orange. Pros: Tailoring and nipped in waist, long length, vibrant color. Cons: Price, slight scratchiness, stiffness. Definitely thinking about it. More to come!

  6. It amazes me how long j.crew keeps items on its site without a significant price reduction. I recognize several items from last fall - LAST FALL - and they're still only on a minimal markdown. Hey there, j.crew, if something hasn't sold out after nine months, guess what, it's time for a fire sale! Time to admit an item that "every girl in our office is swooning over" didn't leave the savvy shopper quite so weak in the knees.

  7. ugh! waiting for the garden lace pencil skirt in a 2 or 4 to pop back. Should have nabbed it when I could!

  8. I have to highly recommend the cotton cady Erica dress that is currently selling for $59.99. Although it is marketed as a "special occasion" dress, it really can be worn casually or to work under a jacket or cardigan. The fabric and colors are dreamy and the fit is pretty great. Plus it has pockets!!!! It is TTS on me so if you are interested, get your normal size or call their CS and give your measurements. I got some last year (on final sale too) and was pleasantly surprised to see the navy go on sale this year. Great dress.

  9. I agree Barbabelle. Just clear it OUT! ChicChauffer, I bet it doesn't re-emerge until after the 17th ... I'm keeping an eye out for it too.

  14. Anyone have a comment on the Apres Beach romper? I can't believe I'm considering placing an order for it, but I am intrigued with it for some reason...

  15. Still nothing for me. I'm waiting for that extra % off or better yet, free shipping.

  16. The Chic & Elaine - I would size down on the garden lace. Just fyi.

  17. Thanks Staci!!!! Will do. {if it ever turns back up!}

  18. Garden Lace pencil skirt fitted small for me. The CS measurements said the waist should be 29" and when I measured mine, it was only 26". I ordered the usual size 2 and it was SNUG. You can see pics of how the 4 fits on my blog (scroll down). Slastena also has photos of it as well.

  19. Rose! You are the one who inspired my lace pencil skirt lust! I think I will need a 4 as well..... Maybe you are already tired of yours :)

    thanks for your input!

  20. I am flattered, Chic lady! Hope you get it. I am not quite ready to part with it. :)

  21. Oh man, i hate Jcrew size weirdness. I bought a 12 because it was in-store 30% off and I really needed a 10, it is super lose on me. But I've seen people in the upper ranges have different reactions to the fit than the smaller sizes.

  22. I snagged a crewcuts hot pink cashmere popover for myself. I was thrilled to see it priced at an affordable $69 rather than $128 or whatever it was before. It just came in the mail today and I LOVE IT!!! I was scared it might be too small but it has the easy, boxy cut I was hoping for. Plus, it is literally the perfect neon hue - and not too thick to wear next summer either.

    This was my second purchase from J. Crew and I couldn't be happier!

  23. Staci.... sometimes it's impossible to guess your size. I can see how, when it comes to that pink lace skirt, you would throw caution to the winds! I'll bet it looks great on you, even if it is a little big!

  24. and Rose... I don't blame you! I am going to stay on the hunt!

  25. Hey guys! I'm trying to add the Jenna cardigan from the sale section into my cart (vintage navy color, size small) but it's not working! Does anyone know what's up?

  26. Wahoo! Against all odds the Silk Blythe Blouse in Apricot popped up in a 00, just when I was sure I'd never have a chance at it again. And I randomly thought to check the sale section last night even though I wasn't expecting any sort of a site update at that time. Interestingly some new fall items went on sale, including the Zip Cable Sweater, which left me really torn over whether I should purchase it. Unfortunately I already used up the 20% off email code on the Stripe Elsa Jacket a few days ago not expecting that it'd be around this long. Oh well. Can't wait to wear the Blythe blouse with my New Cafe Capris.

  27. life as a cat - Congrats on the Blythe! I snagged my size in Apricot during the 40% off promo and I LOVE it! Wore it yesterday and got so many compliments.

  28. Caitlin - thanks! I can't wait to wear it. I only wish they'd bring back a color like Apricot for their fall offerings; so many silk blouses for fall and yet I find the colors all a bit too extreme for me! I'll probably post some outfit pics once I get that and the Stipe Elsa Jacket in :).

  29. Just wanted to report that the order I place yesterday morning shipped last night. Definitely a record! Hoping I receive the correct items though :)

  30. I snagged the Weatherby boots in both black and cobblestone. The black have been delivered and I absolutely love them. The leather is divine and the full leather lining is sooo soft. Love, love, love! This is the kind of quality I wish J.Crew offered across the board. Oh, I also finally bought the Casbah blouse; hoping the shoulders aren't too poofy :/

  31. JCrewJD, thanks for your post about the Weatherbys! I ordered them too (extended calf version, in black) and they've shipped and I'm just waiting for them to arrive. Sounds like they're fabulous!

    I noticed more sizes of the Britten tall boots are available, I love my Brittens and I do recommend them to others.

  32. life as a cat, just wanted to thank you for letting me know about Maru. I have spent much time watching the videos and checking out the owner's blog. It's endlessly entertaining and great therapy when I'm feeling p-o'd or otherwise stressed.
