J.Crew Email: Our sale just got better: new styles added

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Irina, who let us know about J.Crew's latest email.

J.Crew is announcing that even more new styles have been added to their Final Sale (click here to shop online)! This offer also extends to brick & mortar stores.

As many of you have noticed, a lot of new arrivals have already been marked down. It is surprising how fast they got included in the Sale section!

Will you be checking out the Final Sale? Any new styles interest you? If so, please share! :)

  1. I'm going to wait for an additional % off which I suspect will follow next week. Lots of new things for sure!

  2. I just tried on the floral flair skirt and it is absolutely gorgeous and NOT on sale in store. Will post a review later today!

  3. Wish the other Flair skirts had gotten marked down!

  4. I'd like to get an Elodie Blouse. Any recommendations on sizing?
How does it compare to the Blythe.
    Thanks.

  5. AppGal, me too! I want the pine desperately!

I went for the Patsy dress. I want the Elodie blouse but was unsure of sizing.

WTF is up with them marking things down so quickly? I don't understand the logic, especially since the first markdown is final sale which is a huge deterrent!

  6. As soon as I saw the floral Flair skirt had gone on sale this morning, I was on the phone with CS to get a price adjustment! Craziness!

  7. The floral flair is still out of my price range, but I had a chuckle at the fact that it's considered "final sale."

  8. I love my floral Flair Skirt and highly recommend it. I think it's my favorite piece so far this season. That said, annoying that it's marked down about a week after I received it. Obviously, I contacted my PS to have the price adjusted. In the end, happy to get a discount on the skirt!

  9. I think it's great that they have these markdowns (and that they will price adjust if you phone) but to have a product go so quickly to final sale is ridiculous.
I know I'm preaching to the choir here but I don't think any other retailer does this!! Mind-boggling.

  10. I do love my cavalry skirt and have gotten lots of compliments on it. It runs smaller in the waist than most J.Crew items, so err on the side of the larger size.

There are 00s, 0s, and 4s in regular and 00 and 0 in petite left

  11. Nicole,

I agree. The skirt is priced to high to begin with and even now the so called sale price is still ridiculous esp. at final sale price! It should go down even more and if not, it was not meant to be for me:)

  12. Hi Ladies.

Went to my B&M to do a return (sightseer dress, 49391, which runs TTS and is very cute -- I ordered two sizes and returned one) and my SA told me lots was on sale. I picked up the Dream Fair Isle vest (49106) in both colors, marked down from $78 to $19.99 and the striped knitted cotton sweater (172742 on net-a-porter, cannot find on jcrew.com) in both colors, marked down from $78 to $29.99. Both are TTS.

Also picked up a sort of faded red hoodie, it might be item 33278, still regular price at $59.50. VERY cute. As others have noted, the store has a lot of the poppy/red color -- very pretty.

Also FWIW, there is a $10 off all regular priced scarves promo.

  13. Maryeb: I purchased the Elodie blouse in black and normally wear a 6...this is a 6 and is true to size; I adore this blouse...love! I want to get another one but think I will wait for sale. A must to the wardrobe for sure -- at least one.

  14. Hey all. Has anyone been to the Toronto store lately? Do they even have a sale section at all?

  15. Same here, I'm waiting out for extra % off.

@maryeb: I had ordered the Elodie blouse and returned it right away. I ordered the graffiti green color and IRL it's not brighter than it appeared on my screen. It's more dull and "heathered" looking "washed silk." I'm a small busted size 4 and I ordered a small and I felt it was just boxy overall. I never got to try the XS but the S gaped open right where my girls are and you could see right inside whenever I put my arms up or moved around. I don't think I can were that blouse unless I put some fashion tape right at the gap. Also the large pockets with flaps didn't work for me.
I have the Blythe from previous season and I haven't had a chance to try out the Fall version yet. I think the Blythe is slightly thinner and sheer in the white color. I think I've read that it is running slightly longer than the previous version which is a welcome for me. Hope this helps.

  16. Ladies who think floral flair skirt is still over priced let's wait it out until extra % off or further mark down. I'm doing the waiting game...

  17. How do I get on their friends and family list?!?! Love jcrew. Everyone teases me. Found my paisley pencil skirt. Yay!

  18. I pounced on the Floral Flair skirt this am at 5! LOL. Bad. But I am into buying "statement" pieces right now. So far this fall I have stuck to buying classic staples only.

  19. teeny84 - No sale section in the Toronto store...boo!

  20. jf crew - JC doesn't do friends and family. They haven't had a universal promo in quite a long time.

At this point, I think the best we can hope for is the end of final sale - but if it's working for them, and they've got no public shareholders to answer to anymore, maybe that won't happen? It was mid to late October of last year that "Fall Sale" showed up. Here's hoping!
