Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. My local J. Crew is sadly underwhelming but I did find the Ruby check short for $20 less than online and a few fine spun tanks, each also $5 less than online. No crazy $8.95 shipping to boot!

  4. Not me, I'm all shopped out for the time being. Just enjoying all my loveit purchases and looking longingly at things I'm too fat to fit into at the moment, arrggghhh.

As an aside, if any of you have ever considered splurging on some fancy Harry & David Oregold peaches (nope, I didn't receive the super-special peaches from Dear Leader, lol) .... well, let me be the first to say save your money. They way they market these babies I really expected them to be spectacular. And they were very pretty to look at, and ripe, and the flesh was the most beautiful golden color, and even the texture of the flesh was fabulous. What fell flat was the taste. I've had better-tasting peaches from my locla supermarket. What a disappointment. Arrggghhhh.

  5. I was just curious, does anyone know if the 2011 No. 2 pencil skirt in the new peacock blue color is the same as last year's nightfall blue? I'm wondering how much they differ, and if it's worth having both. Thanks!

  7. A little OT here but what's the deal with in-store promotions? Is it possible to find out if there are any promotions going on during a given day before arriving at the store? I've asked the store staff and they always say emails are sent. However I've only ever received emails about online promotions, never in-store. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks!

  8. I went to the J. Crew Outlet in Aurora, IL this weekend and scored a DOWNTOWN FIELD JACKET for $70.XX with a %40 and 15% student discount (originally $128.00)!!! I think the jacket was JUST THE SAME as the Downtown Field Jacket online!!! Cha-ching! I was planning to buy this jacket full price...
