Check Out J.Crew's November 2011 Catalog

I am still surprised that J.Crew removed their catalogs online awhile back. I am shocked that they have yet to realize their error and to return the feature. I don't get them sometimes. I really don't.

I am extremely grateful for our JCAs who have graciously stepped up and provided us the catalogs to view. A big "thanks!" to the following JCAs who posted several pages of J.Crew's November 2011 catalog for us:
Lastly, a reminder about a tip shared by Roxy (in this post) relating to catalogs:
For people missing the online catalogs, if you own an iPad there are a few apps that let you browse (and buy from!) J.Crew's catalog. Catalogue by the Find and Google Catalog just to name a couple.
Thank you again ladies for all your hard work. It is once again greatly appreciated!

Have you checked out the latest catalog? Did you pick a copy up at your local J.Crew or received one in the mail? Do you like the styles shown in the pages?

  1. I got one (against the odds)! I really like the simple styling and the colours are just stunning. I compared this with last November's and it's night and day. This year's models look happy, groomed, put together, as opposed to last year's when they looked like they've been on a 3 day bender. And ITA on JC not putting up the catalogs online. EVERYONE does it, and I do mean EVERYONE. Why so different, MD?

  4. "3 day bender" hilarious!
I'm delighted by the return to form, they had gone so UK HIgh street last year, their look was a mishmash of everything I've been trying to get away from.

  5. I am with you all - I am staring intently at cashmere colours - drawn to the lemon, but still thinking on the spearmint and indigo colours... I am so besotted with the gorgeous green of the jungle heather that I feel like I need to get some more colour before they magically return to "blah" land...And I am with you Closetcrisis - those girls looked awful and looked like they needed a nice shower...

  7. Glad final sale is gone but I threw away my Nov. catalog. I have all catalogs from 2002-2010 but have pitched a few 2010 that were a "hot mess" of layering and ruffles and all 2011 so far. Something tells me I won't regret it either!

  8. I never save the catalogs, I get so many from different online shops and it's just clutter to me. I always get them though and November's came really early, I used to get them a couple of weeks after JCAs in the U.S. so I really liked the online catalog.

Now that they have Canadian pricing in the catalogs I assume they are being printed and mailed in Canada and that's why November arrived so fast. It's nice.

  10. I only save JCrew catalogs and I am so glad I have in past years. They are great to revisit over a cup of warm tea. Mine are in a footstool and have traveled the world and back in a seacrate--and yes, my husband knows! LOL

  11. Thank YOU, Alexis, for this fabulous blog and members!
Where would be without it!! Was glad to help bridge the gap because so many JCA's still do not get catalogs
    (Really, J Crew???)

  13. The 2 looks I like best are the tweed skirt with the honey turtleneck cable sweater and striped tissue turtleneck poking out. Also the sweatpants with pink cashmere tee and red slippers. Other than that, this catalog is BORING. I know color is back, but there is something really boring about these color combos--maybe they are missing accessories that are feminine and preppy? Like the silk sash belt of old, or satin maryjanes?

  14. Interesting note on the November catalogue. I was looking at the Majesty Peacoat since there was another post topic about bad materials in the shoulder pads. In the pictures, the button under the collar cover is the same as the buttons on the front of the coat (gold) but on mine it is a larger plastic one like the tab ones. Curious if mine is different than other JCAs or they just replaced the button to make it look more impressive for the catalogue.

  15. I get mine in the mail unless I'm on vacation or need to look something up in a store. I like a lot of the pieces as separates but I personally am not a color whore. It would take a lot of money to make me wear some of the outfits. Too clownish. That said, I do like a lot of things and have bought the Ryder boots and a really sumptuous feeling tank top that for some reason, is part of the Collection. It was $50, so maybe that's why! Anyway, as much as I like the turquoise hacking jacket, for example, it costs waaaaay too much for me to get it. I mean, how long is this color trend going to last, you know? That said, I would consider getting the purple colored coat on the cover. Purple goes with black and grey, and those are the colors I wear most. =)

  16. I love all the sweaters. Sweaters make me happy. And unless I'm mistaken they had Frida modelling some of them didn't they?
