Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the FALL sale, or to see some new FALL/WINTER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Your coat promo is here and it's "up to 25% off on select outerwear." At least there is free shipping. Prices haven't been updated on the site at the moment. No code will be necessary.

  2. I haven't stopped by a J.Crew for 2 weeks! Must be a record for me so far. The coat promo is not tempting me at all, (25%? that's it?)so fortunately for me it won't be so hard to wait until whatever deal the Crew is going to have on Black Friday.

  3. Anyone had a chance to try on the Perennial Peacoat? It is available only online.

  4. I found nothing I wanted. I had to order via red phone :/

Looks like outerwear promotion is on today!! Up to 25% off and free shipping on outerwear!

  5. Hmm, the Majesty Peacoat only went down by $48, only a 16% discount. Does anyone think there will be another 25% off $150+ promo like last month?

  6. Went this weekend and picked up the striped tissue T-neck for like $20 or something and the Jenna sweater in black for $25. And I tried the striped thermals that were on sale again and I did get one(rust and cream). The ones w/o buttons are a great length. It's the ones w/buttons that are really short. But really, the sale section was not too exciting.

  8. I purchased the light wool flannel Hutton trouser about six days ago for 99.00. I returned to J. Crew this weekend for a price adjustment given they area currently 99.00 + 30% off. I absolute love this trouser for the fall/winter. Thew will be a part of my wardrobe for a long time.

  9. SE Mom, the Perennial Peacoat looks like last year's without the buttoms on the back. I bought three of those last year after Christmas (I think they were $90. each, in navy, black and the heather grey. I really like them and especially love the very pale grey - it has a very feminine look.

I think I'm set for coats for years to come. One day I might would get a white puffer, that's about it.

  10. I visited this weekend and purchased the lace front tee in black and the leopard scoopneck blouse.

IMO, the lace front tee runs small and is short. I picked up a medium (my regular size is small) and I feel like I'm tugging it down today.

The leopard scoopneck blouse may be a return. It seems to cut really weird and doesn't seem long enough either. I never thought I had a long torso but maybe I do since none of these purchases fit very well!

  11. I didn't go and I didn't order anything this past weekend either. Nothing I wanted from the sale section.

Buuut, I do have three boxes arriving today so I will put up some reviews tomorrow.

  12. I posted on the outerwear promo thread, but wanted to add it here just in case:

Has anybody else ordered the Stadium-cloth Boulevard Trench in a Petite? I did during the 25% off promo and find that the fit of the shoulders/sleeves is really strange. The front of the shoulders is really tight and then there's extra fabric behind my shoulders. It's as if the arm hole on the coat was cut in the wrong spot...anybody else experience this?

  13. My store didn't have a very good sale selection; however, I did pick up a couple more thermals tees. They were $24.99 plus 30%, so not bad at all for something I will live in.

I finally tried on the liquid skirt in navy for fun and loved it! It sadly is way too long on my 5'3 frame, but it is a gorgeous piece. It is not extremely practical since it is silk, but I could see this being a nice special occasion skirt. Plus, this skirt draped beautifully on me, which I did not expect since I have a curvy lower half. I took my normal size 4 in it as well.

  14. Elizabeth,

I got a white puffer (two in fact b/c of the prices I found them for) as well as a white hooded toggle coat AFTER I had every winter/colored coat I needed/wanted:) A good goal to have. I found them all when I lived in the U.K. for between 10-15 pounds each (off season!!!)

  15. Louise @ cosmetic bee, my b&m is offering 25% off $150 on black Friday. I don't know if that will be online, too. My b&m was allowing their customers to hold items. My ps is ringing up my items on Friday and I can pick up later (like Saturday when it won't be quite as crazy busy).

  16. TXgirl14- did your store still have the 30% off today? Any one else see this at their local stores?

  17. I was super excited to find Saturday pants in all colors at my closest (still a trip though) store on the weekend - I bought the black and the grey and they were $30 and $20 and oh I can't even express how much I love them. Wish they had the olive in my size too. They're my winter stay-at-home-mama wardrobe staple. They are bliss and fit true to size (I'm a 0 or a 00 and bought the xs). Also picked up a sale necklace for $20 - my fave purchases in a long time!

  18. MegCrew, I went on Sunday so not sure if my store still has the extra 30% off. I'd love it if the sale was still going on though. I want to check out my other local store this week.

So is the only Black Friday sale the 25% off $150?

  19. dawnmurray,
Great buy on the pants! Happy for you. You shop like I do. I never pay more than $20-30 for a pair of J.Crew pants and I have a closet full:)

  20. I shopped at one of my favorite JCrew locations this weekend (5th Ave in NYC) and (LAST weekend too at the King of Prussia Mall in PA). My JCrew card is burning! I got some good deals though & took advantage of the 25% off of $150 or more. The deals I got were The September Sweater, the Heart Sweater in Camel, a pair of CeCe studded ballet flats (for less than $50!), a vintage cotten long sleeved t-shirt, the Flair Skirt in Double Serge Wool http://www.jcrew.com/womens_special_shops/weartoworkshop/skirts/PRDOVR~47315/99102500247/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~360~~20+17~15~~~~~~~/47315.jsp & a few great crewcuts finds! I'll say, JCrew did me well as always this weekend only I'm still struggling to find a flattering fit among their slacks....!
