J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  2. what are the odds that in the upcoming two weeks, the double-day lady coat will be reduced, be included in a 25/30% promotion and be available in size 4? seasoned JCAS, should i buy now or hold out? thanks!

  3. Anyone have an comments on how the Daisy Tee fits? True to size or runs large?

  4. @Rose: is anyone surprised that the sale is extended? They have a lot of sheddy sweaters to move.

A couple reviews of new items on my blog, including a new db version of the navy schoolboy, and a striped silk blouse.

  5. Dissertante- what color are you looking at? If you enter quantities in multiples of 9 (the highest you can go) in your shopping cart, you can get an idea of how many are left.

  6. I recently posted a review of the xxs vintage thermal henley in stripe:

  7. Sorry for being a threadhog. Madewell is having a 30% off all orders promo, Tuesday only. Tried on the Alexa Chung Risky Business Striped Silk shirt. Amazing quality. It's calling my name now.

  8. jcrewgal - The daisylace tee (57932 ) fits tts, imo. It's thin, but the lace is cute.

  9. This is my first post here although I am an avid follower. The recent promos have gotten the best of me and I've ordered up a storm for myself and children.

First up: Carriage Coat Dress-love it! Def. an expensive item even with the discount but it fits me very well and I can see wearing it a lot. It is itchy by the neck(it is lined) but a turtleneck will remedy this nicely.

Funnel neck sweatshirt-meh...just meh. It's a comfy sweatshirt. When ordered I could see wearing a button-down shirt underneath but when I tried it on and looked in the mirror I was underwhelmed. The funnel neck draped nicely. Sent this back.

Owen high heeled boots-really like these! Fit is TTS(I wear a 7.5 and my feet are a little wide). They were a little tricky to get on the first time but since have stretched and I can get them on without hubby's help. I like wearing these with leggings and skinny jeans because I like how they tuck into the boot. I usually wear flats and these heels are ok to wear for several hours.

Waffle leggings-love! Don't think I can wear these out of the house but that's fine with me. I a pair of these on almost everyday. I think they run large so I ordered a medium on my second pair and they are perfect.

Sherpa hoodie-love! I bought this to wear as a I lounge and I love how it feels. Originally I bought the large but I am very top-heavy so exchanged it for an XL. Much better. The Warm walnut color is very pretty.

For reference am 5'2 and wear size 12.

  10. Review of the Cafe Capri in Wool "Plaid" here. :)

  11. Closet Crisis, you're so right - I was looking through the racks of sale sweaters at the B&M yesterday and it was embarrassing. So many pilling, shedding sweaters! I don't think they'll be able to give most of those away.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Closet Crisis, how is sizing on the Alexa Chung blouse? I have it in my cart and see that it's final sale so any help you can offer is appreciated!

  13. Oh my gosh, there's a Lady Day Coat in green for $80 plus an additional 30% off. That color must not have moved!

I picked up the resin tortoise necklace that popped back in stock. Also, the Merino turtlenecks are now on sale in all colors-I love these! And a pair of toothpick cords in the navy for spring.

I just got my Elements coat in the mail and am pleased with the first try :> So I'm done! Merry Christmas everyone !

    ReplyDelete
  14. yes, I just saw the $80 Lady Day coats (-30% = $56!) and I'm ordering the green and heather majesty purple to compare. Not sure if it came in the 4, though, but the petite 6 works for me. I actually think the oasis green is quite pretty - I was contemplating keeping the doublecloth metro in the same green, but now I'll wait for this new batch to arrive.

  15. I fell in love with the print of the Dorothy floral silk skirt when it showed up on Net-a-Porter, but it's not available in my size.

I went to the store last week and was surprised to find the same print in a shift dress and button-down shirt. I tried on the dress and posted a pic on twitter last night. I love the darker floral pattern that is great for the winter, but will still add a nice pop to any outfit. However, I am 5'4 and this was really short on me. It is several inches above the knee and just barely passes the bend over test. Also, this dress has no shape to it, although a belt or blazer/cardigan can remedy that, but a belt will only lessen the length.
I did like the feel of the silk, it was a nice, thicker weight silk. If you are shorter than I am, don't mind short dresses or would wear it as a tunic then this could work. I'll have to pass, unless the skirt pops up on J. Crew's website because that has a much better length for me.

  16. I already posted this in another thread but if you order the Martina wedges, size up! I am usually a 7 and even the 7 H feels a bit snug on the toes. Since they are backordered until February you don't want to wait for two months just to find out that you ordered the wrong size! If you ordered your regular size on backorder I would cancel and reorder or also get a size up taking advantage of the extended promo.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I couldn't turn down the lady day coat at that discount...I can do the tall sizes so ordered the green...we'll see how it is for $56! Wish they'd had the purple in the tall but oh well...plus a few factory ride alongs that are backordered until February (hoodie and pink snowflake tee).

    ReplyDelete
  18. For those of you who have tried on the Double Serge Hacking Jacket, what's the sizing like? Would I be able to size down? I know the Herringbone version was TTS if not a little snug. TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  19. oops, guess my last post was OT...onward to reviews.
Received the Hutton trouser in purple wool flannel - LOVE these. I would say they seem to run a bit larger than the regular wool hutton trousers...might be the stretch. And the wool flannel doesn't seem as flannel-ish as my other wool hutton trousers, if that makes sense. I didn't check the fabric composition compared to my camel huttons. These also have a long inseam (34"). I'm 5'8" and wore 2 1/2-3in heels with these and they were perfect. The color matches my heather grape items from this season perfectly.

  20. Wow--debated for too long on the lady day in green and it is gone. The lady on the phone at the 800 number said they will do a WWFIFY, but I'm not holding my breath, as stores don't cary talls. It would have to be a really random return... Hope it works for those of you that got it. Love that color!

  21. MacAlister Wedges in Nut: Thumbs up! Very stylish and comfortable, sturdy but soft, and the heel is just the right height. Good quality suede. Wore them out to dinner last night w/ skinny jeans and Tartan Perfect Shirt. Fits TTS for a boot - i.e. there's enough room for a thick pair of socks. They have a slim silhouette, so they might not work for those with wider feet. Glad I took advantage of the promo/free ship for these boots!

Silk-Tie Top in Black: Thumbs down. Cheap, sheer, and shapeless. I knew that the only part of the top that was silk was the tie, but even at $20 with the promo and sale price I was really disappointed with the poor quality. Sending it back.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @AppGal: I wouldn't size down in any of the Hacking Jackets. I have both the herringbone and the double serge. I wear an 8 on top and, where the Schoolboy jackets are roomy, the Hacking jackets are much slimmer through the shoulders, arms and torso. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I picked up the same dress fashononmymnd modelled in her twitter pic. I'm on the fence about whether to keep it or not. I think it looks better than the Jules dress in the wildcat print b/c it's silk and more substantial than that poly crap the wildcat print came in. I am almost 5'4" and it is SHORT. No way I could wear it without black tights and boots or black pumps to match. Is it worth it then? Probably not, but the pattern is so gorgeous! I just grabbed it w/the 30 off promo and will decide before my 30 day window expires. What do you guys think? I'm just wondering if I'll be sorry I didn't keep it down the road, but frankly, it's not super practical.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Desert Flower: I'd say sizing is the same as JC. I take a Small/6/P8 in JC shirts and the Small in the Alexa chung blouse fits well. There was a slight issue with the button placement so it gaped across my chest a bit, a little stickie tape or a snap will fix that. HTH

    ReplyDelete
  25. I posted this elsewhere too, but got the Stadium-cloth boulevard trench in saddle and loved it…but back it went. As soon as put it on at home with normal shirts..ouch! I felt all the prickles in the shoulder pad area which I’ve read a few of you describe here. I literally was pulling out needle like pieces. It was awful. The lining was already messed up…I wish I would have looked more closely. Plus, when I took it back, the manager and SA both said J.Crew would not pay to fix it and would not reimburse me if I had a tailor fix it. Long story…but the manager said it has happened with other coats…the SA said this was the first she heard of it.

So…has anyone successfully be able to fix this particular coat?

  26. Thanks Gigi! Appreciate the feed back! :)

  27. Closet Crisis, thank you! That helps a lot. I'm debating getting it in both colors. Such a gorgeous shirt and I'm so into the button down and pencil skirt thing these days. I'd get a lot of wear out of them.

  28. Cashmere on-the-button henley in lemon zest - the good is that the cashmere is plush and soft. The bad is that the lemon zest color was not the lovely bright lemon color I was hoping and has a sick tinge of green to it. Also, the fit is long (27" on the Large), and slouchy - a bit too wide through the torso for my preference. I don't like my cashmere sized to be loungewear.

Factory two-pocket chambray shirt - I typically avoid factory items but I love this. The sleeves are a good length for me, which is unusual. The fabric is decent and the fit is nicely shaped. I decided not to go with the selvedge denim shirt because the dimensions seemed to big and boxy to me. I think I made a good choice.

  29. Ladies, could I please ask sizing advice for the leopard Valentina pumps? I usually size up to an 8 in pointy toe shoes. Does that seem wise? Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  30. David-I have a pair in my regular JCrew size (which is a size 7). My toes are pinched! But my foot cannot size up as the heel would slip. I have a narrow foot though.

I'm looking for advice too on how to wear pointy toes comfortably.

    ReplyDelete
  31. and also,

that is bull that JCrew won't repair the prickle shoulder pad problem. C'MON.

    ReplyDelete
  32. J Crew paid for my tailor to replace prickly shoulder pads on my Majesty coat. It is a cheap fix, only $10. They said just bring your J Crew receipt and tailor receipt. They would also replace or take the coat back as defective. SAs in my store are always very helpful, but I suggest you call CS if you have no luck in store.

    ReplyDelete
  33. David and pathos: I have the calf hair Valentinas in my regular size. The toe pinched the first time I wore them, but they seemed much better the second time around. Maybe they just need to stretch out a bit? I also couldn't size up because I hate having a gap behind my heel.

I tried a couple of spring items last week.

Cafe Capri (the cotton ones) in casablanca blue: LOVE these! I found the leg to be a bit slimmer and more tapered than last year's cafe capris, which I liked much better. I took the same size in these as I did in the wool cafe capris, which is one size down from my pencil skirt size. They will definitely stretch out a little bit with wear (but probably not to the same degree as the Minnies do). The colour is beautiful.

No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Basket Weave: I tried the blue one and the colour and pattern were really lovely - a mix of blues, grey and ivory. The skirt is quite thin and light and the lining is also quite thin. It doesn't have much stretch and I found it to fit TTS, I would want my usual pencil skirt size.

I ended up buying the Cafe Capris with the 30% off but left the skirt for now - it's very nice, but I have SO many pencil skirts!

  34. Last weeks ago was able to snag Elements coat in Nordic Blue for $138. I LOVE this coat. Fits TTS in my regular J Crew coat size. It is a great casual coat that looks just as good with pencil skirt as with jeans and Uggs. Color is beautiful. Warm and snuggly and the hood actually stays up. No shoulder pads, so no prickling. Because of raglan sleeves it works great when you like to size up but have narrower shoulders.
I wear 6 and S/M in tops and 4 in bottoms but went with 8 (same size in Majesty and Boulevard). My coworker who is very small on top (32A and narrow shoulders) tried it on and while she needs a smaller size (probably 4) it still looked good on her.

    ReplyDelete
  35. David, DaniBP has the leopard Valentinas, you might want to drop her a line and ask her opinion.

I have the Valentinas in black leather, and I went up a half size to size 8. I normally wear 7.5.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I have coral and black Valentinas in my regular J Crew heels size and they fit great. I initially sized up half size in the leopard ones and that was a mistake. They felt OK at first (and unfortunately I wore them outside) but quickly i realized that they are slipping. I had to sell them to a JCA. My feet are medium wide and many times they hurt in too narrow shoes but the angle of the point works very well for me. I think that's why I consider them very comfortable (but of course this is the individual foot anatomy).

    ReplyDelete
  37. Just got the Elements coat in Navy...LOVE. I went with my larger JCrew size, so that I can wear bulky sweaters, and it think it's the perfect fit. A little long in the sleeves, but it doesn't bother me. Will look very festive with my ancient red cashmere scarf and beanie this weekend. And, at $140 with the 30% off, it was a steal.

I think I'm shopped out...until after Christmas anyway!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh, I should add that my 'regular J Crew heel size' is half size up from some other brands I wear and half size up from JC ballet flats. Valentinas will stretch a little because they are all leather. Or you can get them stretched at the cobbler if you need to. I just HATE slipping heel. It also depends whether you will wear stockings/tights (with bare feet I can get a way with bigger size).

    ReplyDelete
  39. MacAlister shearling lined wedges in Nut:
They are great shoes and I love them. The site says half sizes size up and here I had a dilemmna. I am actually between 8 and 8.5. I went with 8 and at first they felt fine. Then I wore them and decided they feel tight (can you tell I wear my shoes too impulsively?). I listed them on JCA but since there were no takers, I decided to give them another try and actually I think they will work for me. Yay! They are comfy and stylish alternative to say Uggs. Look great with skinny jeans or cords. Very warm. The nut color is a great neutral but I can tell they WILL stain easily and probably should not be worn in the rain. Not worth full price imo since there are many good alternatives out there but at the sale price minus 30% they are more reasonable. The heel height is very comfortable and they are very stable , especially if you lace them all the way up. I can easily wear them on my commute and I walk about a .6 mile to the train station and back.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Desert Flower, I took a size S in that blouse. I have a pic of it on my blog. It is really shiny in the pic, but that's because of the flash.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anyone have the Tinsel Lace Dress? Does it run TTS or Small? And any opinion on the quality? The price with the 30% discount is great, but I am wondering if it is as nice in person.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @ ajc, Caitlin and pathos, thank you for your advice. It is almost impossible for me towear pumps due to my very narrow heels. Louise, I'm going to take your suggestion and ask Dani BP.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Missed out on the oasis coat, despite checking at 4am!

Does the Double-cloth lady day coat with Thinsulate stand up in Canadian and Midwestern winters? Or do you end up wearing a puffer?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I also think the Daisylace tee runs tts. I bought the black, so while thin, it's not as see-through. I love the lacy top and sleeves. My dilemma is what to wear with it. The straps and very top of my bra can be seen through the lace. I'm considering buying a black bra that has a straight lace top, not the usual rounded cup shape.
I'd love to know how others have dealt with this issue.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I finally received my Martina Wedges in bright persimmon and the wait was worth it. The color is absolutely beautiful. It is a light burnt orange color and can definitely be worn with several different outfits. I usually wear a 8.5 and I ordered both the 8.5 and 9. The 8.5 was snug, but the 9 was slipping. I kept the 8.5 with the expectation they will stretch like the rest of my leather shoes.

I also received two pairs of bella loafers. One of the grey leopard and another of the plaid ones that match the cafe capris. I only ordered them in a 9 because I heard they ran very small. The shoes are very comfortable on me and there has not been slipping, but there is quite a bit of extra toe room. Quality construction on all 3 pairs of shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm wondering whether anyone has tried Madewell tights? I'm considering ordering some with the great promo they've got today, but I've never tried them. I have to go with M/L in JC tights (I'm 5'7" and 130 lbs), but other brands I've tried with similar cutoffs for sizing I end up swimming in them. Any thoughts? TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  47. My 30 off box arrived today, so a few more reviews: I got the Saturday pants, and oh are they so comfy! I don't know how I ended up w/them a sz. larger than I normally take, and they're a little baggy, but they still work and I like to toss my things in the dryer, so I know they're fine. I got the merino cardigan in the wildcat print and it's fabulous! I ordered a sz. up b/c it's similarly shaped to the Jackies and I always get them a sz. up. Fit is great in the larger size. Lady Day Coat w/thinsulate is going back. I got it in my normal size and it fits nicely in the shoulders and is roomy in the hips. But it's a fitted silhouette and it's pulling slightly over my tummy (admittedly, my trouble spot). Am wondering if it'd be looser if I got it w/o thinsulate. But it's pretty lightweight and I don't think it would keep me too warm in the Midwest where I live in the winter sadly.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Dissertante, I live in upstate NY where we usually have awful winters and sadly my lady day with thinsulate usually is not warm enough on those really cold days. I almost always opt for my long puffer! I think the double cloth with thinsulate really only works when the temp is around freezing or maybe a little below. Most of my wool JC coats sit unworn for this reason... they just really aren't that warm.

    ReplyDelete
  49. The Stadium Cloth Elements coat is not that warm, IMO. Granted, I got it to be a fall jacket, but I expected the stadium cloth to have more weight. I have a peacoat from 2001 and I think that one is made from the same material as the Plaza (the military type wool.) It's much stiffer. But I wouldn't want a long coat made from that. Too stiff!

RE: Valentinas. I think my foot is too narrow for them. I pranced around the carpeted bedroom and they were flopping in my reg. JCrew size 7. I don't think I could size down to a 6.5. I think it's just the anatomy of my foot and how low the vamp is. I have high arches and a narrow heel, so there is not much to grip onto. :<

    ReplyDelete
  50. I jumped on at 6am lol and was able to get two coats for $117
I snagged the Double Cloth Lady Day with thinsulate in aosis green for $56 and the Plaza coat in Natural for $55!!! I am stoked! My husband thought I was crazy! I am irritated I didn't grab the glen plain pencil skirt...

    ReplyDelete
  51. I got a delivery today!

The Facsimilie Top. Perfection. I love it. Thank you JCrew for this beautiful shell. The material is wool crepe and very beautiful. I love the bow around the waist. It does fit snug, if you can catch it on pop back I wouldn't size down.

Hacking in Double Serge in heather Acorn. I love it so much. I wish it had those old JCrew special details but I just love the thick double serge fabric so I am keeping it.

Also got the boy shirt in silk crepe and the pink striped thermal, nothing additional to add since these have been reviewed many times.

  53. ajr, I think the madewell tights fit pretty much the same as Jcrew's. I love their chalkboard tights!

  54. I made the trek to the Toronto Yorkdale store last Friday when the 30% off everything promo started. I managed to get the stadium cloth Elements coat, navy, size 4. It was sold out online for a while and I have never been able to catch it on popback, so I was glad to get it in the store at the sale price with the additional 30% off. I really like how trim it looks and also how the hood is lined. The wool feels very substantial, and certainly warm enough for Toronto winters. I also bought the crystal brulée necklace in the cobalt blue and the bracelets in dusty pink and hot pink. Contrary to what other JCAs were reporting, the manager would not allow stacking of the jewellery promo with the 30% off promo. Anyway, I'm trying to decide which ones to keep but all of them look very pretty. I also got the No. 2 double serge skirt in the dark turquoise (teal?) colour for only $70! Really happy with that score, the colour is a gorgeous dark teal blue.

Today, I received the first of my online 30% off purchases - the twisted triple strand pearl bracelet. This item has been on my wishlist for ages, and I have been waiting all year for this promo... and the bracelet is defective! The wire wrapping one strand to the silver clasp was coming loose and the strand was about ready to fall off. I called the personal shopper and guess what, now the bracelet is back ordered to the beginning of January. *sigh* So, a bit of an anticlimax. If it weren't for that, the bracelet is really pretty.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Thanks jessie! I was just about to order some, but they kept charging shipping. I finally noticed that the 30% off doesn't expire until midnight, but the free shipping expired at 9 EST! Wow, that's a bummer. The shipping would more than negate the discount. Oh well. By the way, if you'd be willing to email me about your blog, that would be great. My email's in my profile. I've missed it quite a bit. :)

Back to reviews - I just received the Madewell leopard sidewalk skimmers. Oh my god they are amazing. Even better than I expected. I ordered them with the Black Friday promo backordered until Jan, but they just arrived. I took a half size down from my normal size. I can't say for sure what my JC flat size would be since I don't own any. Anyway, these are mostly sold out, but they keep popping back, and the solids are still available. They're amazing! :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. @ajr, actually after reading your post I went ahead to order some tights and the same thing happened to me! I called the cs and they placed the order for me without shipping charge, so maybe you should try that too.

I thought you were on my invitation list, but I will send you another one.

    ReplyDelete
  57. To all who have had issues with the Valentinas slipping off the heel: Same thing happened with me. I ordered my regular size 9 and walking in them was near impossible especially if my feet were a little cold; they just slipped off. But I knew sending them back for an 8.5 would crunch my toes terribly in the front. I took them to my shoe repair guy and he put these pads in the bottom of the show which he explained help keep your foot more toward the back of the shoe. Worked like a charm---no more slipping and my foot doesn't slide into the narrow point toe either. HTH someone!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Louise: I was at Yorkdale on Friday too and they definitely let me stack the jewelry promo with the additional 30% off. In fact, one of the SAs told me specifically that jewelry was on promo already plus an additional 30% off the already reduced price (this was without me asking, she just saw me looking at some jewelry). Weird that they were so inconsistent about that!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Received my mom's package with jcrew items within!

Calf hair watch strap: I like a lot. It is the "actual" calf hair and not a print. If this pops back or your able to get it at a B&M, it is a good band to switch with a watch.

St. Kitts necklace in pale blossom: love the St. kitts necklaces. This is my 3rd and they are great to layer.

Natasha top in Wildcat: I took a 00 in this top (my normal size) and it is a good fit. It's not super fitted but I'm not swimming in it either. Love the print! I anticipate a lot of wear out of this one.

Royal Paisley pencil skirt: Gorgeous colors. I took my normal 2 and the fit is good. I especially love the buttons and pockets on the back of the skirt! I anticipate pairing it with navy, black, dahlia, yellow. I ordered the Mona pumps in peacock recently durinf the 30% promo and I believe they'll bring out the aqua in the skirt. This adds another item to my paisley addiction. yay!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Caitlin: What??! That seems incredibly unfair, but I don't think I will have any success if I were to go back to argue with them for a price adjustment. Plus I won't have time to go back this week! :-(

    ReplyDelete
  61. ajc, thanks for the info. Good to know that it is any easy fix and I’ll deal with CS next time. Probably the worse experience I ever had with J.Crew. They didn’t think the coat could be fixed because thought it was a seam issue instead of the shoulder pad. Also told me it was that one coat. But I pulled another coat that had the same issue…so yea.

Coat is now back up in my size online..but discount is gone. Oh well! Maybe a big discount is one its way soon? :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. TXgirl14, since you got a defective coat you should call CS and I am sure they will honor the price you paid.

  66. The Neon Azalea No. 2 Pencil Skirt is now on sale in stores for $79.99 less 30%. The 5th ave store has a ton of them in the sale section--I remember seeing a lot of 0s, a handful of 6s, a 4 and a 12.

  69. Just wanted to agree with a previous reviewer that the drapey sequin tank runs small. I ordered my usual size but the tank is quite snug, especially under the arms. Normally it would be ok but with the sequins, it's not too comfortable. Good thing I ordered before final sale!

  70. Can anyone review the Booker heeled boots for me? Are they worth the price? Comfortable? Hold up well? (I don't destroy boots, but I'll definitely be wearing them a lot if I get them). Thanks!

  72. Got the merino funnelneck sweater in the other day; LOVE the way it looks online. However, in person, the shiny, plastic buttons totally say chip, in a chip way... Going back

  73. I got the mixed media skirt today, sent overnight by my fabulous personal shopper who hunted it down.

I must echo the other review I've read here that this is a skirt of excellent quality. The leather is soft, the wool on the bottom is a light weight flannel and it's fully lined in silk. Just gorgeous. I am glad to have purchased it on sale, though I honestly think it is worth full price.

I normally take a 2 in J. Crew pencil skirts and asked personal shopper to find me a 4. That was a mistake. It doesn't run small in my opinion and I'll need to have it taken in a bit, luckily I have an excellent tailor. I know there is no way I'll find a 2 at this point!

Overall I am absolutely thrilled with it, it will be high on my list of favorite purchases this year.

  74. I got so excited about the mixed media skirt, I forgot about the other item I received today! I ordered the Alexa Chung for Madewell Risky Business striped shirt last week when they had the 30% off and free ship. Since it was already on sale, it came to $50. I got the heirloom blue which is a very dark navy, almost dark grey. It will coordinate with a lot of bottoms in my closet.

It fits TTS although it is a boyfriend fit so it is not fitted through the torso. It will look great with fitted bottoms like slim pants and pencil skirts.

Thanks to Closet Crisis for her recommendation and sizing help!
