Celebrity Edition of J.Crew Spotted {Drew Barrymore}

"Thanks!" to Elaine (in this post) who spotted Drew Barrymore in People (click here) rocking J.Crew's Jules Dress in Ashbury Floral (Item 61607; Regular $188.00, now $119.99).

I actually like the black tights with the dress! Although she should have gone with black heels instead of cobalt blue. (Or no stockings with the cobalt blue shoes.)

What are your thoughts on Drew Barrymore in J.Crew? Do you like how she accessorized the dress? How would you wear it? :)

  1. She is cute, but I am still not a fan of this print. Love her blue suede shoes, though. :)

  2. You can tell she was having fun with this outfit. The shoes are not the expected black but in fashion it's usually all about the confidence you have behind the outfit. Her hair on the other hand, is another matter...

  3. It's just too crazy a print for me, but I love her.

  4. I think it's the shape of the dress that is all wrong for the print. I love this print actually, and got it in the scarf and think it works really well for that. The shoes with black tights kind of killed it for me. But kudos for rocking the Crew!

  5. A fun outfit IMO. I love the print itself, the colors are gorgeous but it's not right for me. The dress looks good on a lot of people too but tailored looks are much more flattering for my shape.

  6. I think she's wearing it about the only way that looks good - w/black tights. I loved that dress, but it was just way too short and I took it back. I'm too old for it. But I think she looks cute!

  7. This looks really cute on her. The print is not my cup of tea, looks great with the tights and I love the blue shoes!

  8. I wore this dress with black opaque tights, black suede heels (Coddington pumps), and large gold earrings. The print is a complete departure from what I normally wear -- the craziest print I have rocked in the past is nautical stripes, and my PS really had to talk me into just trying it on -- but I really like the dress! When it warms up, I plan to wear the dress with nude heels.

  9. The dress suits her, I think. And I like it with the black tights. The colors are just gorgeous in this print in real life! I tried the skirt and scarf (pictures on my blog) and thought both pieces are really versatile.

  10. I echo Rose...not a fan of print or the cut. Drew is cute and she rocks it just fine, though!

  11. I do love the colors in this print, but it wouldn't suit me at all as a dress with this silhouette ... I would look like a sofa.

  12. I'm not a fan of the print, but it looks great on her. I love the style of the Jules dress, and the fan fare print is my favorite rendition so far. Drew is so cute, she could wear a paper bag and I'd want to emulate her look.

  13. I love the print (picked up the perfect shirt yesterday) -- I love bright colors and such. I think the dress and the print suit her personality just right. I will buy this dress if it ever drops low enough in price, since I'll have to wear it over leggings or a skirt to get away with it at my age. ;)

  14. I agree with others- not a fan of the print at all. it looks very matronly and makes her look much older than she is. to each his own. love drew though.

  16. It seems to fit her personality and looks like it popped nicely on TV. I'm not a fan of this print either.

  17. Interesting. Is this news? On the bottom of my shipping confirmation email, I saw this:

    ......? Excellence Center?

Have I just never noticed this before, or is it something new?

Oh, John. We must have a talk. ;)

  18. Love the print, especially on A Bigger Closet. What are your collective thoughts on the figure-flattery potential of the pleated skirt in the same print? I have a bit of a tummy. Would this print hide or highlight that area?

    :) Jen
