Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

    1. You and me both. Wow. :) Is it bad when the UPS truck showed up with a J.Crew box yesterday (going to my neighbors) and I automatically assumed it had to be for me since I have so many things "on the way" in terms of orders.

  2. Hopefully yes to try a few more things on.

  10. Yes because I noticed the patent Monas in poppy finally went on sale online but my size is sold out so I called my store and they are going to honour the price. Too bad there is no additional promo though.

    1. I purchased the mona poppy patent last week at my store and that night, they were on sale online; I called CS and they gave me the sale price...just gave them my receipt/store information. They were great about it. Nice your store did it right up front. Mine acted like they knew nothing about it.

  11. This is slightly off topic, but did anyone else notice that the price of the Biennial Satchel is up from yesterday? Wasn't it $178 yesterday (without the 30% off) and now it's $278? I'm not a fan of these price games.

    1. @ Sugarmagnolia; YES, I notcied that too. I think the $178 price yesterday was a booboo on JC's part and that is why the red/brown colorways suddenly disappeared. Hmmmmm. I ordered one from a store directly yesterday when they were out of stock. Haven't received the confirmation email yet. Hope they still honor the original markdown.

  12. Not buying another darn thing. Bought more than I wanted this week with the promotion. I'm waiting for a few items to hit sale or promotion but honestly, really going to try and stay on the good side of not shopping JCREW for the remaining months. Enough stuff.

  13. Only to make some returns of items that didn't work out!

  14. Going tomorrow to make some returns. I got some great things from the 30 off promo, but also some things that gotta go back. The Garden Floral pencil skirt is GORGEOUS! I love it!

    2. Hi pathos! I have a review of the seersucker pencil skirt on my blog HERE. And, the wonderful AppGal has a review of the skirt on her blog HERE HTH!

    3. Rynetta- thank you!! Thanks for taking a photo of the rear side. That's what I was concerned about with no slash pockets. Looks like a keeper.

    4. Pathos: No problem! I'm happy to help! This skirt is a keeper indeed. Have a great weekend!

    5. Hi Pathos, I have the new seersucker pencil skirt and love it! usually am a size 4 in JC pencils ( cotton and wool) but had to size down to a 2 in this one. I checked with two SA's to make sure and they agreed. Yes, and the rear view is good, I'm always on the look out for no Frumpy butt syndrome! ;o). Also a BIG THANK YOU shout out to Rynetta PhD & AppGal for their wonderful/helpful reviews. You fine lady's helped me in making the right choice in this lovely skirt!

  18. I tried on the jardin maxiskirt. Loved it. It's a twirl-er. I think it's a size down one on this one, or at least take the smaller of your JC skirt sizes. Curious to see what others think on sizing. Will try to put pics up soon.

  19. I won't be able to make it this weekend, but do plan to stop by the J.Crew in Tampa sometime this week while I'm over at the Gulf Coast. (I love that they have Crewcuts in their store, plus they usually have a larger sale section than the Orlando B&M does, too.)

OT: For those who may be interested...there are a lot of new items marked at promo prices this week, so I've updated the list. You can see it here. :)

  21. I'm thinking I want the Big Shot Dot Dress... and it's still full price online. Any chance of a better deal in stores?

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Megan - the Big Shot Dot Dress was on sale in store for $99.99. The last time I was in a b&m was about a week and a half ago - the Syracuse b&m had a couple of them in the sale area, not sure if they are still there. HTH

  24. I finally made it to try on last week's new items. I love and bought both the seersucker pencil and garden floral pencil (thank you rewards). I did have to size down in both. I love the colors of the raj paisley, but wish the placement of the paisleys was different. I did not have to size down in this one. I love the tessa top and sized down twice. The red is gorgeous, just wish they'd had the yellow too. I will wait for a sale on this one (and then may pick up both colors). The Naomi top is not for my shape. I like the vintage v-neck tee in violet stripe, hoping they have my size when my wallet is ready for me to spend a little more. :) The Audra sandal is cute on the foot, but after 5 minutes I was ready to get them off. Bummer since they were cute. I tried on the neon ribbon tee (that AppGal also tried on) and I really liked it. Finally something TTS at JC! This is a hoping for sale item. While I liked both colorways, I would get the green.

Crewcuts leaves May 29. :( Although, they will be carrying more shoes and handbags now. I'll miss Crewcuts, though.

    1. Are they no longer producing crewcuts after May 29? Boohoo :-( Hope they have some good sales on it!

    2. Did I read this right? Jcrew is no longer doing children's clothes? The entire line for girls and boys is no longer?

    3. pathos and Chanie and Yossi: They are only taking Crewcuts out of math teacher's local B&M, not discontinuing the line completely.

  25. Just curious did Naomi top fit like Natasha top? TTS? Or size dn? Thanks!

    1. Good question ! Kinda curious too!

    2. I just tried on the Naomi top on Friday in my local store, and found it to fit TTS. Comparatively, the Natasha ran a little large on me...I could size down in that top.

      Delete
    3. I found that it ran large. I have the Natasha in a size 2, but was swimming in the Naomi 2. I sized down to the 0 and it fit much better.

  26. If anyone sees a black Fabiola dress in size 2 in store, let me know!

  27. No store visit for me but I ordered the Manon skirt since my PS said she was getting rave reviews from customers and it was almost sold out in the blue colorway. No sense waiting for a FP promo on this since it would not be included anyway. PS said she will refund the shipping once it ships, which is nice since there is no available minimum for free shipping to Canada unless it's part of a promo deal.

Ebates was 6% today, which sweetened it up a bit too. I did investigate Shop At Home but could not see how Canadians could join at this point.

OT, Brooks Brothers has select clearance items, including Black Fleece, 70% off this weekend. Details and links available in THIS POST.

    1. Darnit. I had the Blue Manon skirt in my cart and it sold out while I was checking out! At 11PM at night no less! And now no more blue available! I hope you like it. I will have to keep watching for it now and hope for a popback!

  29. cuckoo, I didn't try on the natasha top so I can't compare. I did size down in the natalie. Truthfully, I didn't leave it on long enough to notice if sizing down again would have worked.

    I still can't reply - what's up with that?!

  30. I went yesterday to return the black cashmere sweater that recently arrived on my doorstep -- what a not-so-lovely surprise on an 80 degree day! I had ordered it back in January and eventually assumed that it was never going to arrive.

And store merchandise was a big yawn. (I actually used my rewards card to buy my husband something.)

  31. Went to a local store at the south shore plaza in Braintree, ma. Very large sale selection. Mostly tees, capris, and Shorts. A few dresses, also many sweaters. Pretty much no blouses or blazers on sale however.

  32. Fabulous Florida Mommy, thanks for clarifying. I didn't mean to sound like Crewcuts was not going to be around at all. It is leaving my b&m. It's a big draw for them, so I hope it doesn't hurt their over-all sales.

  33. Did anyone see a big crystal brulee necklace in stores (not available online yet)? It comes in yellow and turquoise. I was wondering if it comes in any other colors?
