Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  3. Pics of the Dree dress in stripe in this post. I also tried and really liked the crop matchstick jean in white (64441). I've tried 10+ pair of white jeans in the past month or so and I think these are the ones I'll be wearing this year.

  4. Hi all - anyone see the jardin maxi skirt on their visits this weekend? I am really loving the image of it from Bali, and wondering how it fits/looks IRL?

    1. WMM- I sized down one to a 4 in the maxi skirt. The 6 was comfortable but the 4 was a better fit in the waist and length. I do think it runs big.

    2. Unfortunately, it was too Little House on the Prairie on me. The aqua color was really beautiful, though, as was the fabric.

  5. Has anyone tried the soludos flats? I'm an 8 and quickly tried on a size 39 and hated them. I think they're so cute on all the models though. Should I give them another shot in a 40? Or maybe stripes instead of solids?

    1. I wear an 8 and I tried both the 39 and 40 and neither worked for me. The 39 was too short and the 40 looked too big and saggy through the toe area. Hopefully you have better success....

    2. I bought a pair of the navy striped Soludos about a month ago... I went with the larger of the two sizes I tried.

I can usually fit a 36, but they were too hard to get on, so I went up a size. They're a little big in the heel area, though.

    3. I liked the striped ones at J Crew but wanted a more summery color so bought the Classic Stripe in Blue White Linen from Soludos directly. (http://www.soludos.com/shop-women/classic-stripe?color=Blue%20White%20Linen)

I'm an 8.5 and got them in 40. They fit but slightly loose in the heel so I got heel pads and now they fit perfectly! They are super comfortable, easy to wear, and surprisingly go with a lot of my spring/summer clothes! Very glad I bought them.

I wear a 8 and went with the 40 in the solid color chambray one's. The 39 was too fitted. I do wear a little sockie under them for a better fit(you don't see the sockie at all). They are very comfortable. I love them.

  10. Thanks Audreybella! How tall are you? I am 5'2" and wondering whether to go petite or regular length. Where did it fit on you? If the aqua a pale-ish shade or quite AQUA, if you know what I mean? :-)

    1. WMM - I tried on both colors and irl pics are in this post. I agree w/Audreybella that it runs one size large. I'm 5'2" and the regular size felt fun in a ballgown skirt way. I tried the petite (don't have pics) and it's much better in volume and it's a little short, which makes a difference.

I got these for $9.99 each:metallic swing sweater in gold and boat neck popover in cerise stripe. For $4.99 each: the stripe ripplestitch cardigan in Casablanca blue chalk, the ripplestitch sweater in heather gray / navy stripe,, cotton cable sweater in Byzantine blue and the boatnecl popover in apricot/navy. All total $590 retail for $40!!!!

  12. Went to JCrew Factory store today:  purses 50% off,  jewelry 30% off, belts 20% off, and knits and sweaters were on promo too (men's button downs & graphic tee's too).  In store promo's + 20% off coupon = great deals!

The Thandie sweater in stripe (navy with white stripe with red stripe) is my favorite (LOVE) new find.  Here's a link to the pic I took from JCrewfactory's Outfit Obsessions last week but the item is not available in this colorway on line yet & I don't see the Outfit Obsessions landing page when on my ipad:  Thandie sweater in stripe JCrew Factory I don't recommend this in white or a light color since it's thin (basically see through in white).
