  1. Just wanted to rave about the Factory version of the hothouse floral blouse. I wore it the other day and can't even remember the number of compliments I received. Although I personally like the top a lot, I was surprised at the range of people who noticed the top and complimented it.

  2. A rare customer service win for me: chatted with a rep about how I was disappointed that while I got two packages last week rom J.Crew neither had the 20% off Factory code included. She was wonderful, said they were included at random (?!) and offered to take 20% off my next order!

  3. I love that final sale is gone early this year! Yay! Last year they didn't get rid of it until mid-November.

  4. Ordered the Factory excursion vest in green (I'd missed out on Retail green for two years!). Late August, and it was backordered until Oct. 28. Had been meaning to cancel b/c I thought price was too high--$79--after I saw it in store (IMO it is not as nice as Retail version). But somehow, when it showed up two days ago, it was $49. I can live with this! :0)

  5. Last night I was shopping for a dark, funeral appropriate dress at the Old Orchard store and tried on both the solid black and grey colorblocked stretch paneled dress. The colorblock one is on sale on the site but was still full priced in store. I casually mentioned it to the associate when she stopped by the dressing room to check on sizes.... She immediately looked it up online, told me the sale price, and then added that they would also take the 40% discount off the sale price as well (an even better deal since it's 30% off online!). I put it on hold and when I came back an hour later she told me she was leaving because her shift was over but she had left a thorough note for anyone else helping me instructing them to honor the sale price. It was such a nice feeling to have a sales associate go out of her way to make sure I got a dramatic discount ($158 originally and I ended up getting it for $88). Well done J.Crew!
