Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Does anyone know if the B&M stores are running any promos this weekend? I have a few returns to make but they aren't urgent so I might wait for next weekend if there's nothing good going on.

    1. I went yesterday and they had 25% off tees and nj case jewelry, plus a couple of other random ones. The sale section was also packed. New collection hits stores Monday!

  2. Thanks to Gigi's tip, I was able to score the cream belt with gold buckle yesterday in store for $25! It is going to look great with white jeans this summer!

    1. MS - Glad you saw the price on the belt. I love it. The color is pretty.

  3. Did somebody say the linen baseball tee in colorblock (a4311) was on sale in stores? There are so many "linen baseball tees" out there I'm not sure which ones were marked down!

    1. Yes, I didn't stop to check sale price, but the white navy and heather grey color ways were in the sale section. Your local store should be able to give you the sale price if you call ahead.

  4. It was $30 with 40 percent off at my store. That style number. But it did ting up regular price but was supposed to be marked down per SA so maybe call your store and double check.

  5. I know this is a bit off topic but can any JCAs comment on the fit of the Isabelle red and navy stripe bow pumps from Factory? My non J Crew shoe size is typically 9 but I often size up to 9 1/2 in J Crew shoes. I take a 9 1/2 in the Martina and Valentina. Would you recommend sizing up 1/2 size from non J crew sizing? How do they fit compared to Martina and Valentina? TIA!

    2. 312JCgirl - I think you should take 9.5 in the Isabelles. I am 7.5 and regularly take 8 in J Crew wedges & heels, including the Martinas and Valentinas.

Review here of the Isabelle botanical print pumps. You can see the shape of the shoe, etc.. and comments about comfort, etc...

    3. Thanks Gigi! That was my hunch as well but since they are final sale thought I should get a JCA opinion. Plus I can always put in a heel insert I can't do tight shoes!

    4. Hi, 312JCgirl - I'm the same size, 9 in non-J.Crew shoes but 9.5 in Martinas, Valentinas, etc. I took a 9.5 in the Isabella pumps and they were perfect. HTH!

    5. 312JCgirl - I just noticed that the price of the Isabelle pumps isn't 40% off. I don't see any exclusions on the current promo, so they should be $76.80, not the $118 that they're showing.

Anyone who wants these pumps should call in to place the order and request the price to be adjusted.

  6. I popped in to check out the sale shoes (meh), and ended up buying the boyfriend fatigue jacket in camo-what a deal! $59.99 pre-40%. Love it!

  7. 50% off markdowns today, I assume final sale but as I didn't buy anything I don't know. lots of merino sweaters! shouldnt they be gone by now. worth a look anyway, and good selection of jeans/kahkis

    1. Kate - are you in the US seeing addtl 50% off markdowns? I believe they were doing it in Canada, but I didn't see it in my area today.

    2. My store (King of Prussia) had 40% off sale today not 50 %

    3. Vancouver stores had 50% off sale items today. Metallic suede slingbacks were $85.50 after discount

  8. OT: two of my reviews went live today and one of them was about my Campbell capris shrinking after washing them. CS contacted me offering an immediate refund. Surprised! Happy too, of course. That is really top notch. I wonder if they are going to keep it up. But I am self aware enough to know it causes two reactions: 1) guilt - now I want to post a positive review of something; and 2) now I feel like reinvesting in another J.Crew purchase.

    1. That is awesome! I think that (1) no reason to feel guilty: they asked for an honest review and that's what you provided (and thank you from a fellow JCrew costumer, keep the honest reviews coming!). And (2): that is their goal. Gee, after reading your comment I too feel more inclined to buy their product! Great clothes? Great CS? I'm in!

    2. I agree -- overall it makes me much more confident in the brand. Just pointing out that marketing/cs works!

  9. Can anyone comment about pink geo top that is currently on sale? Cute or not? True to size?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi Momma Wags:) True to your most common J Crew alpha top size on the pink geo top, imo. If you're busty, it has the possibility to look maternity-ish. Review & pics here. HTH :)

      Delete
    2. Greetings Momma Wags - I like the print, but agree with Gigi that it looked like a maternity top. Felt like one too, and I'm not a busty person . . . it doesn't look like a Final Sale item on the website, so you may be able to return if you do a mail order. I sometimes call CS ahead of ordering just to be sure. Good luck!

  10. This is more of a review but I thought I'd put it out here for those JCA's that are going to be bargain hunting at their b&m's this weekend. I got my zippered pocket Pixies today (total cost $36!) and I really like them. They do fit different than the regular Pixies. They pull on instead of having a back zip. They are comfortable and the waist is maybe a smidge higher than the regular Pixies. I think I'll cut out the pocket linings for the zipper pockets b/c I'll never use them and maybe they'll lay a bit flatter. I ordered my usual Pixie size 6 and they feel a little roomier all around than the regular Pixies. I don't think I could've sized down though. I have the leather tuxedo stripe Pixies too and an old pair of regular Pixies that I've been thinking these would be a good replacement for. All in all, I prefer he regular Pixies the best, the zippered pocket Pixies second and the leather stripe Pixies third in terms of fit and comfort. But I love the way the leather stripe Pixies look with my "dressier" outfits. I absolutely lived in my regular Pixies all winter, so will most likely break down and buy another pair since sadly mine have a weird red spot on them. I had hoped the zipper or leather striped ones were going to be a good replacement, but they're just not as good as the originals IMO. But for the prices I go the other 2 for, they'll get use and were a great deal.

    1. Jruby I got these as well and love them esp for $36!! I agree they were a little roomier than other pixies but not enough to size down.

    1. Hi....went to the Robsen St. and the newish West Van. store today. Robsen St. sale section was bigger but both were really lacking in anything I would want right now. No large purses ( a few clutches ) the shoes were mostly size 6- 6 1/2 and were the ballet type flats. I could have had a long merino cardi...but all were either shop worn or they pill quickly.
The lace sleeve tops were available but they were cheaper online last week and if I didn't want one then I won't buy one now.
Until the linen pants ,shirts and the rest of the newer arrivals are 25% off at best....I will wait until june/july even Aug for the better discounts.....there is absolutely nothing I really want that badly ....I must be getting J Crew fatigue.....

Sales gal offered to order me one but then I stopped a round neck one on the sale rack....got it for $8.99. Nice! I'm looking forward to new things next week. Thanks Beach Chic Girl for the preview! I like the looks of the two tone blue knee length skirt!

  21. HI, JCAs! I went to a Factory store today (Fashion Outlets of Chicago) to make an exchange. Of course I browsed and tried on a few things and wanted to share my thoughts in case any one wants to buy with the current promos going on:

*Navy and Red Isabelle Pumps: Since they seem to be very popular, I wanted to share that my store actually had these, which are online as Final Sale and I think at one point were labeled as an online exclusive. Ironically they are not even on sale at the stores because according to the SA they were "brand new" (huh? why on final sale online then? hmmm). Anyway, I tried on both my normal non J Crew size 9 and 9 1/2 as I often go 1/2 size up in most J Crew heels (Valentinas and Martinas). I have to say that with this shoe the length of the 9 felt better but the felt a bit narrow at the front of the foot. The 9 1/2 were a little long but didn't feel tight. If I get them I will go up 1/2 size but would have to wear heel grips. If your foot is narrow you may want to stick with your normal non JCrew size (my foot width is average).

*Factory Embroidered Floral Skit: The surprise love for me was the Factory Embroidered Floral Skirt in Shocking Pink. This is similar to a retail collection skirt from a season or two ago that was outrageously expensive (even on sale I don't think it dipped below $175). I have to say that I actually like the Factory version better. It feels very high quality. I would say it is TTS but I am going up a size so it will sit lower on my waist so I can more length.

*I also really liked the Factory version of the Hawaiian print "Carrie" cami. I found this to be tight across my chest and will likely go up a size. I am a C cup though. If you are smaller chested or have a small torso you may be able to stick with your normal size.

Unfortunately they didn't have my size in some of the other items I wanted to try on. It was slim pickings in a lot of the styles. Granted I got sick of asking the SAs every time I couldn't find my size, so they may have had some more in the back.

They had a bunch of promos going on and of course the 20% off if you buy $100+ and 30% if you buy $200+. You can also get this promo online with the code RMNSHOP.

    HTH someone!

    3. I went to a factory store yesterday after getting Friday's beach themed email. Bought he 3/4 sleeve beach sweatshirt which is true to my usual size small (though I often size down at factory) and love the casual vibe of it. It is also very very lightweight. Love the beach toe that was on Friday's email, but couldn't find online and the store had never seen it either. If anyone can help with that or has seen it, please let me know. It is a blue and white tote with I think gold stripes. Thanks!

    4. The sweatshirt btw is a5099 and was on sale for the same price as online.

  22. I went yesterday and felt very meh. Granted, I'm a sale section shopper. The things that weren't shapeless were sheer or boxy or bejeweled or neon. The shirt with hearts and houseflies gave me the creeps. I'm over the popovers and big blingy gold jewelry. The sale section was packed, but I only came home with a painter tee for 8.99 (14.99. - 40%).

And for the record, who thought it was a good idea for this promo to last 9 days?

    1. That's what I was thinking, too! So does this mean new stuff will roll out this coming week? Does it mean they will change this promo?
