  1. I do love my VPS. I don't order much anymore so I'm not a huge customer of hers. She is unfailingly helpful and pleasant, finds me measurements and information and speeds things to me when I do order. This service is a big plus. I just wish there were more garments to love at J. Crew!

I see Melissa Webb has an intro on the Banana Republic site today. I wandered through the new arrivals. There's A LOT of polyester. Almost everything except the leather and the Sloan items (which are a cotton blend). Poly everywhere. I did get lucky and preorder the black/white Rouland Mouret collaboration dress the other day. It's the same fabric as Sloan. That's the only thing I've wanted from BR in literally years. It some of the new arrivals I saw today were silk, wool, cotton or something else I probably would have ordered a number of pieces. We'll see if Melissa makes some changes like fabric contents.

  2. I love J crew's customer service these days-honoring store sale prices, responding super fast to requests and PA's, etc. I had gotten spoiled and had forgotten how great they are until I branched out with some other retailers.

  3. I have had some great experiences recently too! I ordered the recycled cotton denim jacket in indigo online on sale and it somehow sold out before it shipped. J Crew called and a placed a new order for the jacket from the store (although they honored the sale price with the promo) and shipped it for free. I also recently received a pair of sandals that were the wrong item. After returning them, J Crew sent me the correct pair and honored the new sale price which was final. Sadly, they didn't fit but J Crew allowed to me return them anyways. So nice if you just call and state your case!
